Is 'babe' now considered an insult?

Someone held a lift for me the other day and she reacted to me saying 'ta babe' as if i'd called her a cunt.

Almost hey? Ice Hockey started from field hockey and field hockey came from Polo, so maybe hockey is horses on ice for people who like to fight?

Depends on if you are a fat ugly bastard or not, if you looked like Brad Pitt I am guessing she wouldnt have been offended.

Caligari 06-11-2010 08:48 AM

its a two parter if thats cool:)

1)do you see 3D porn getting big, or much bigger than it is now?

2)what are the top 3 mainstream trends/items selling now and do you think they will remain popular for another year?

I would buy if it drops below 30, anything at that point over the next 5 years will look like buying apple shares in 2001.

1) No, if you have to put on special glasses to jerk off its one step further that takes the impulse away from enjoying yourself.

2)Mainstream trends depends on what you mean, ie web, brick and mortar, how you define mainstream. For a simple answer, cupcakes, natural remedies/home health care(not acai LOL) and video games of all sorts web, console, and device.

mpahlca 06-11-2010 08:58 AM

I am heading to lunch back in a while and will answer more

great, thanks for the answers, i was referring to mainstream web.

re: cupcakes, do you see a niche for naked girls and cupcakes? as in naked girls baking cupcakes and then perhaps spreading the icing all over their bodies as well as the cupcakes?

maybe just a baked goods/naked girl niche would be more interesting:)

Mainstream web I would say totally different then, as it would be trends towards personality styled sites like thebiglead.com being built up and sold off to major companies to allow them to control their own traffic networks. So niche specific aggregated sites that push news style content with a slant.

As for naked girls and cupcakes yeah i could go for a cupcake then.

it is, and i think it wont be gone for good just short term dealing with the fraud and cb's of the people who really pushed it lately.

Cool let me know, i was thinking of a supplement last night that if you did acai infused in a creatine hydrochloride with a vasodialator you could really push the body building health benefits while giving a huge "pump feel" the best would be to throw in brewers yeast and jack them up.

Company growth over the last 6 months in most categories, while growing revenue, traffic, profit. Also the fact that i have 20+ employees sitting out in the bullpen in front of my office filling in for me so I can do just this one thread to answer your question.

Also I have been in this industry since 1998 and have been at twistys for the last 4 years.

Caligari 06-11-2010 09:48 AM

thats it! naked girls baking cupcakes (or other things) that they send/sell to their fans.

i know its not a question but i had to follow up on that train of thought.

Ok i have one for you, are you a comic book fan? and if yes what was the comic series that originally got you interested?

leedsfan 06-11-2010 09:50 AM

tee hee, it was just a question.

But thank you for taking the time out to answer.

Next questions:

What is the meaning of life?
Why was the universe created?
What existed before the universe was created (prior to "big bang")?

And you are not allowed to use search engines...

will do. this product has several natural ingredients that are loaded with magnesium, a good vasodilator. will have to research on a natural creatine other than what is in red meat.

:thumbsup

What you could do is have these really hot bikini girls selling cupcakes by walking around with like old style cigarette boxes, then have them walk thru high end business and banking areas near breaks and lunchs you would do a pretty damn good business IMO.

I havent used a search engine in one of these threads yet :)

Meaning of life is to exist.

The universe doesnt need a why. (please read next answer to understand my reasoning.)

The universe existed prior to the big bang, if you follow theoretical physics you would see that the mass of the big bang and of the universe is constantly changing and the magnetic pull and structure is based on the mass of all things including dark matter, pushing away from one another. So if this is true then there will come a point where with the decay of the initial stars and the increasing gravity and mass created by the ever increasing blackholes that the universe will start to retract instead of expand. This will lead to big bang again, and will be the recreation of the universe one more time. How many times this has happened or will happen, or why it happens is probably beyond this paragraph for me to theorize.

Absolutely, although I don't have any actual paper comics anymore. Not since I was a kid. I was most inspired by Superman, Spiderman, Batman and The Punisher, but I also liked Iron Man, Fantastic Four and many others. Pinning it down to just one that originally got me going, I'd have to say Batman.

Batman is just a regular dude with exceptional training. No magic powers, and he takes matters into his own hands when no one else can or will, and he does it without killing people. That's very inspiring to me. :)

Punisher is more like reality though. Batman with weapons.

Ha proves my point of all the best designers i know come from loving comic books :) I was an xmen kid, so that drew me in, then because I had an awesome comic shop near me where people debated comics, I ended up loving stuff like Lone Wolf and Cub. Since your in the states if you get an ipad check out panelfly.com a great app for ipad that really takes comics into the new world.

PS i loved Frank Miller after lone wolf and cub, so led me to Batman thru that way, ala Dark Knight etc.

:1orglaugh no doubt that would work! i was thinking along the lines of a website, naked girls bake for the guys live like a video chat session (they do other things while the cupcakes are baking..heh) maybe put their names on the cupcakes and send them off.

like the used panties thing but this combines the freudian power of the mom factor...no wonder why milfs are such a hot niche!

Yes I agree based on everything I have read/watched regarding this theory, that the universe is set to exist as we know it, for another 24 billion years before it contracts to the point of the Big Bang once again. Has it happened before? We don't know of course, just like we don't know whether it will happen again. Our understanding of the universe is so crude that I'm sure we'll get to a point of understanding thousands of years in the future to go someway to explain the cosmic nature of our essence. In my opinion the fact that all things are made out of atoms (including all creatures humans etc) and everything is therefore connected at particle level speaks to the what we are, and furthering our research into this will give us more answers. The older I get the more I feel that the randomness of life and the endless possibilities for change prove that right versus wrong moral decision-making is fundamental to our growth as a species. As a race we are driving more into bad choices, greed, corruption and so on, that its clear the smarter we get the further backwards we go. Maybe that's the message we're supposed to understand that simplicity is also purity, basic atoms represent our very core, and basic fundamental compassionate behavior to every neighbor should be our core focus.

yeah, that's the thing eh. i need to ask my consultant about natural creatine production, i know it's made in the body from 3 amino acids, just need to know if a blast of those 3 aa actually makes additional creatine beyond that which the body requires.

here's the thing i get confused about re: the universe.

if we can see back in time looking into space through a telescope, and see how/where things are at that time, how come we cannot see earth through a telescope as it existed in the past?

ehh? huh? ahhh.

For atoms i actually looked into wave theory as part of the structure of atoms and looked at how physicists explain the connection between the original four quarks and how light and energy are the base structure of matter. So therefore matter and energy are not two states there is only energy. Then if that is true what holds the energy in the shape that it ends up in? Going to your thought my belief is that will of the energy determines the state or end structure of the quarks making up the atoms making up us.

So a tree wants to be a tree therefore it is a tree.

At the base of this goes to my belief that humanity is as it should be, we are no less or more than we chose to be and if you chose to be more than you are, you will become that.

It doesnt it needs to be generated in muscle tissue. BUt you could push a similar water volumizing effect using arginine, tyrosine, and some other AA
