PHPMotion: Anyone tried it?
 

I am looking for a youtube clonescript and found PHPMotion. Any of you guys that have tried it? Good or bad or do you have any other script to recommend...

Never tired it, but I know in their TOS you can't use it for an adult site.

clipshare should do the trick

The site I am planning is not "that" kind of adult, so maybe..... But I checked about more around and to make it work like I want I have to buy several plugins

ughhh... phpmotion is a pain in the ass. All kinds of programming fixes are required and now larger videos won't upload and has crashed my server at least once.

Having problems with large pic uploads as well.

Server settings and phpmotion settings all modified to suit large uploads. Tons of codecs added, etc. etc. It just is a buggy script all around.

Now I'm trying to figure out what to do with the phpmotion video upload to replace. Anyone ever replace phpmotion player with flowplayer?

PHPMotion has a text=kill feature built in. If it sees too many adult keywords or an adult description it disables the software.

I was using Vidiscript beta and it was working great for me, but seems they have given up on the project.

There are a lot of limitations that script has. It can't handle more than 30K video because of it's file structure and also can't handle high loads because there is no caching. It sucks, I went through it. Save your money and time and headache and go with something like mechbunny.
