Easier to scam someone online?
than in person?
I have a few people on my icq, and also a few designers who have mentioned lately that alot of people are not paying, as designers its important to cover our time spent yet people seem to think it's ok to not pay for that should they not like the finished product. It got me thinking about scamming and ripping people off, do you think people find it easier to rip/scam someone online than in person? I was thinknig this because it's less "human" its just a name on messenger or a forum not an actual physical person in front of you, even though there are real people and feelings behind these avatars. . . . . . am i making sense?! :thumbsup |
It is much easier to con someone face to face. The convincers you can demonstrate in front of someone are totally more convincing than anything you could do online.
Social engineering is easier in person. Ask Kevin Mitnick. |
Yes, just look at what pr0 did to me. And he still has the balls to post here - he just plays it off like it didn't happen, and people still merrily believe him. Actually they just don't care even, even though he had fucked someone else over for $5k too, not just me for $2k.

it really depends on the person, but I think more people scam over the internet than face to face.

More attempts are done online, but the actual success rate is going to be better in person.

How could I know?
