Crap tv shows you loved as a kid

Last night I was talking to somebody about shows you watched as a kid that you knew (or now know) were crap but you still loved watching them.

In the days before we had cable I have to throw my first vote out to Small Wonder..utter crap but we still watched it all the time.

What are your crap shows that you loved as a kid?

CunningStunt 06-30-2010 03:51 AM

Oh God, Small Wonder was something I just got used to but I wanted the little girl destroyed!!!!

But you know, I kinda miss 3-2-1 Contact and the Misfits of Science. And Nickelodeon circa 1980's seem restraint than the hoohaw party it is now.

My husband watches an episode of Monkey from the boxset every morning during his workout time. I honestly can't remember it being shown in the States but I am assured it did.

3-2-1- contact was an excellent show for kids...I loved the Bloodhound Gang part even they only had like 5 episodes of it they kept repeating.

I watched it as a kid and loved it, however I bought the boxset and it just seems insanely stupid now. Same goes for dukes of hazard.

I've decided to leave all the other tv shows as great memories, as watching them now makes me wonder how I could watch such crap.

Just the other day I had a long pub conversation with some friends about the merits of Saved By The Bell. I just can't separate it out from Dustin Diamond and his sex tape now though.

I was 17 when that movie came out and I loved watching Marc Singer run around in his little loin cloth. Beastmaster and Clash of the Titans were two movies I used to watch over and over.

American Hero was way too funny.....agreed (total escapism) LOL

"The Magician" (Bill Bixby) the license plate on his corvette was "Spirit" and he even had a car phone in the 70's.....then he went on to be The Incredible Hulk

and yes...i too loved WKRP in Cincinatti....way ahead of its time in humor

GrouchyAdmin 06-30-2010 11:32 AM

I was uh, I dunno.. single digits when I'd watch this crap:

Misfits of Science was, eh, dumb.

Turbo Teen.. never really did get the show.

Where's the Square One love?

I still love Night Court. Bite me.

Redrob 06-30-2010 11:43 AM
