Im sure its fine in some regions, but man is greedy so i wouldent put it past anyone to catch fish/shellfish right in the middle of the spill

I doubt it will have a sticker on saying so.

i didn't trust food from the gulf back when i lived there.

But think about it, that you have to consider fish from Mexico, as being contaminated aswell.

Actually any good sea food monger will have a list of where their sea food came from. But if you are out to eat at a restaurant thats a different story.
