Is Twitter a good source for adult
 

I notice a lot of adult sites advertised with twitter profiles, ourselves at GspotProductions also.

Do you think it is a worthy source for advertising & communication considering there are many people from the younger generation looking through twitter?


I never really wanted to start a twitter account, infact, years ago, when we started in adult wesites. I wanted to ask for creditcards to enter my site, I realised this was a stupid idea with all of the competition. I am wondering about relating only everyday topics to Twitter & not business. :2 cents:

You think its good for networking. So you get to chat to people you wouldnt from here?

I've tried many different things with Twitter traffic and they never panned out. Mind you I didn't have 1,000+ followers so I can't be a true test. I've seen on other boards that Twitter traffic was unproductive.

If you're looking for direct traffic, Twitter may be spotty. If you're tweeting for influence, that's another story altogether.

We just use the API and automatically hit em with a new post from our database every hour or so. We have got qualified leads and sales. I'd say it's worth it!

If you know how to use it, then it's a great tool. People do search Twitter for specific search terms. So if you use Twitter like many do and talk for an hour with friends about utter nonsense, people will land on your page because of whatever search terms they were searching for. I go on my usual Sarah Palin rant and the next day I have religious conservatives as followers though we're the complete polar opposite.

Of course, www.twitter.com/amateurcanada - anyway to get people retained or interesting using any social network sites is a good idea.

Twitter only works for uber-popular people. If you are not a celebrity, there's not much use for it. But of course, it belongs to the package nowadays.
