Calling all Bloggers!!!!!

Hello Bloggers,

Naked News Anchors has released RSS Feeds!!!

Insert our daily news rss updates on your site to create dynamic, up to date news headlines that also sell memberships for you. Link to them directly, or use them in a ticker or widget, it's up to you. The feed is fully tracked and will maintain your affilate ID, so you get credit for every single sale you make. These headlines also coincide with the stories featured on the Naked News in Brief daily broadcast. When a user sees something they are interested in, our 2 minute non-nude show will give them an enticing sample and then lead them directly to a signup situation.

how is this fully tracked Bryan G??
http://www.nakednewsheadlines.com/20...blonde-posing/

that is a single post in the RSS feed, if that feed post goes to a blog as an entry how is that post tracking my aff ID??

Answer: its not.

All the posts on that RSS feed should look like this
http://www.nakednewsheadlines.com/20...ng/?nnid=xxxxx

or something similar which will correctly track the given affiliate ID.

Am I missing something with that?

Caligari 07-14-2010 12:28 PM

alright if you figure it out lmk and email me....or don't. whatever.

CamJack 07-14-2010 12:29 PM

Are you using wordpress and what plugins are you using? The ones I have used strip the link from the title (or you can change that in the options) and just displays the text in the subject field.

You should add in the rss feed, it should post the title(unclickable) the body text (tracks to id) and the footer links (tracks to id)

You were posting an individual post, this is the feed (view in ie)

http://www.nakednewsheadlines.com/feed/?nnid=xxxxx

When you add in the feed, the title is the title (clicks to YOUR blog page) the body tracks to affiliate ids.

Maybe I am wrong, if so I will work it out right now

Tact .. :2 cents: Not everything is a conspiracy mate :2 cents: All the other links work fine for me. Maybe he did just miss that link? Maybe not but wow your a drama queen.

Caligari 07-14-2010 12:38 PM

heres an example-
i have the feed-
http://www.nakednewsheadlines.com/feed/?nnid=xxxxx
so i go in to that feed and want to pull something from it, lets say this entry-
http://www.nakednewsheadlines.com/20...blonde-posing/
i take that entry and put it on a blog.
if i make that entry an entry on my blog, how can it possibly track my aff code?
this standalone url
http://www.nakednewsheadlines.com/20...blonde-posing/
doesn't say anything about my aff code-

that is one aspect, there are a few others i will post.

how about a big dose of shut the fuck up idiot.

Ok you aren't using the same plugins I have used.

When importing a feed, it should take the title, body, and footer from our rss feed.
The title should link to YOU, not nakednewsheadlines.com (YOUR PAGE WITH MY CONTENT)
The body tracks to your id
The footer has two links that track to you.

Gimme 20 minutes, I'll set them up your way, but it's not the right way to use affiliate rss feeds.

Why must everyone post on a message board problems? People don't icq anymore.
You think we are stealing traffic, and I am siting here baffled you don't know how to utilize a feed properly.

Caligari 07-14-2010 12:50 PM

alright i see whats going on.
you have to import the feed to make it work. (i tried this, works fine)

but if you go into the rss feed and pull the feeds individually and place them in a blog you will not have the aff code.

i am pointing this out because alot of people do this. they pick and chose entries from a given feed, so its great when the entries in that given feed are hard coded with the affiliate ref.

Just a suggestion as it would give more options to the affiliate.

RSS Feeds aren't meant to be individually copy and pasted, they are built to be imported. I wouldn't 'fix' anything, it's not broken.

TeenSluts 07-14-2010 12:57 PM

Does anyone rank well with RSS fed content?

Maybe put them in the sidebar and that could work, but I've never done well using them for posts

CamJack 07-14-2010 01:01 PM

Thank you sooo much Jdoughs. I really thought I was losing my mind there.

Why would you cut and paste when there's plugins that put the whole thing on autopilot?
The advanced bloggers use the word scramblers/changers to avoid duplicate content.

I am going to make the WHOLE nakednewsheadlines.com website trackable.
Editing the templates now, the only thing that won't track is the store, youtube, and itunes link. All the banners will, everywhere, link to the show, and even the webmaster link.

15 more minutes

hyuk...if it ain't broke don't fix it.:winkwink:

thats fine for slam n jam blogging, but i have blogs that require individual, unique posts, so if i am looking to add an entry i should just as easily be able to go into the rss feeds and pick out a post to use.

So when you want a "individual, unique post" you want to be able to Copy/Paste one?

Think about what you are saying.

TeenSluts 07-14-2010 01:36 PM

jDoughs I'm guessing he will edit it to make it unique.
