Top 100 songs of the 90s

I found an awesome list of the "top" 100 songs of the 90s. Which are your favorites? Which songs would you add to the list? http://www.myspace.com/mymechanicalb...s-songs-461007

I would add "I will Survive" by Cake to the list. Awesome cover.

blonda80 07-18-2010 10:14 AM

nice songs in that list

bronco67 07-18-2010 10:16 AM

No Cherub Rock by Smashing Pumpkins? They helped define the 90's musically.

List invalid.

PornMD 07-18-2010 10:25 AM

Not bad. Just noticed it was KROQ's list...in that case I'm honestly shocked at all the high entries by Sublime. They must have been really into them (which I am too and liked seeing it, but surprised nonetheless). Surprised Nada Surf Popular isn't on there...that song was everywhere when it was out.

They obviously lived in a different 90's to me.

KROQ played music that was for the new crowd during the 90's, not a very big play list

You have a point. The Smashing Pumpkins were a MAJOR part of 90s music. My favorite Pumpkins song: "Drown"

By the way... if GFY is this slow, I wonder how the other regular adult webmaster forums are doing. Maybe this signals a switch to BH side of webmastering?

Not sure why I only see the first 23 out of 100. Can't seem to get to the rest. I'd have to add:

One More Astronaut by I Mother Earth
New Orleans is Sinking by the Tragically Hip
Jeremy by Pearl Jam

I'll think of more if I sit here longer.

Prodigy rocked!

I am so glad the 90s are over.. but now the 80s and early 90s are plaguing me. I swear to god the next fucking time I flip through stations and hear 'Paradise City', I'm going to shove that CD (along with Floyd) up the DJ's ass.

That is all.

scarlettcontent 07-19-2010 07:57 AM

wonderwall is a pretty cool song

Spyce 07-19-2010 07:58 AM

That's a pretty decent list...

Jeremy should be up pretty high in a list like that. I would change the whole list a bit myself, but it isn't bad in general.

Everlong by Foo Fighters is #1.
Many years ago, I went to a Foo Fighters concert.

Our Lady Peace had some huge hits in the mid-late 90s, but not sure if they perhaps were only big to Canadians ? I never see them on any "great 90s" lists...

pornmasta 07-19-2010 11:48 AM

1991 Paradise Lost - Gothic

pornmasta 07-19-2010 12:22 PM

bronco67 07-19-2010 12:46 PM

Oh shit, that's KROQ's list. Now the lameness and cluelessness makes total sense to me.

John-ACWM 07-19-2010 01:11 PM

Nice to reminisce on many from that list!
