Only on the PRE REGISTRATION (landrush period) ... starting tomorrow general registration begins. There are no application fees associated with general registration.

If you find em cheaper i'm sure we can work something out =)

Kiopa_Matt 07-19-2010 03:08 PM

But wasn't there a private domain registration period already? If so, won't about 12,000,000 domains be registered before us peons get to register?

datatank 07-19-2010 03:20 PM

Why are some already registered and resolving?

.co are worthless

people will just type .com out of habbit.

they are like .mobi

no one will use them.

in my opinion no one forgets to put the m at the end of .com. In most cases they type .cm, .cim, .cpm or any other ones like that which are actually a typo.. I can understand making a typo (wrong letter or #), but forgetting a letter completely? They "typo" traffic you would get from that would be a joke. Certainly not worth getting a .co domain in hopes of all this typo traffic.

if your site gets millions visits daily, you get some nice .co typo traffic for sure. but its really only typo and for seo purposes the domain will be imho useless as some .cc and .ws and similar crappy ones ... so, for the price, if you dont have really good .co domain or you dont need to protect your brand, its really wasting of money ... :2 cents:

babymaker 07-20-2010 02:28 AM

just grabbed 4 hope it is worth it :D

TeenCat 07-20-2010 03:12 AM

btw that pornhub and redtube are interesting, how is that possible that thiefs have better knowledge than complete adult together? here now we are preregistering domains and praying to get some, and those thiefs are using them already ... wow, just wow ... :2 cents:

crazytrini85 07-20-2010 04:09 AM

Directnic is $25

Someone please take mine and infringe on my trademarks. I'm pleading for you to. I've been handing "clever" people their asses for years, not about to stop now.

Most people Google names anyway so it's about SEO not domain extension.

Less than 2% of my visitors type in the name directly.

I am GMT and don't know how many hours off of EST that is.

uh huh, sure you have, the best you can realistically do is spend 2k, and take the domain from them through ICANN complaint... so some idiot spends $25, you spend $2k to get the same domain, brilliant plan :thumbsup

Vendot 07-20-2010 11:15 AM

can you use whois privacy with .co domains?

- No privacy on .co domains

- ottopottomouse - Namecheap is offering for a limited time only at those prices. Looks like a loss leader special to me. If you are ordering in bulk i can get you discounted pricing... I will meet with my marketing/sales team and see if we can come up with a nice domain / hosting combo offer as well.
