New York Times: Google's search algo should be under government control or review
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/07/15/op...ef=todayspaper
Ehm... what happened to private enterprise? Talk about a bad idea |
google is happily giving up info and working with the gov already, they would probably volunteer it.
|
Just what we need. The US Government taking over the Search Engines. They need to butt their asses out of more shit, not continue to try to take over or regulate any more private business. Fuck Em :(
|
more control... times are rough
|
Governments control or regulate most businesses. Why should SEs be different.
Maybe they will stop Google pirating? |
They are working on a lot of laws like these in Europe.
Had it been in North Korea they would call it "fascism" och "communism". EU is smarter then that. They call it "anti- terrorism" or "monitoring risky behaviour". http://www.edri.org/edrigram/number8.14/google-nanny-ep Either way, the free internet of the 90`s is never coming back again. |
wow...the world is changing in front of our eyes
facism? |
Not so stupid
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_bomb but it will create another problem: censorship |
Good way for google to no longer be the number one search engine, hand it over to the government.
|
Fucked up idea that one.
