Exactly. Doesn't seem as good now that they have done away with Dr. Blake. Anyway, I'll still watch it and reserve judgment for later :thumbsup I'm a big Marvel fan.

looks like this is going to be a good movie

Well the Dr Blake thing always confused me anyway - I mean where does he go when Thor takes over? Saw the trailer earlier today and I think it looks pretty awesome. Other than the Dr Blake thing it looks like their pretty faithful to the comic, with Thor banished to learn humility and all. Is the black Norse god :1orglaugh supposed to be Baldur?

He does look a little bit like James Hetfield of Metallica

Two thoughts.
First, it might actually be decent. I have never been a big Thor fan, but this looks like it might be good. . . but then again you can make just about any movie look good for 5 minutes.

Second, Natalie Portman just keeps getting hotter and hotter.

im a HUGE thor fan and have been for a long time.
the issue where he fought the midgard serpent was perhaps the best comic ever made.

that being said, i am very worried that this movie is going to try to do too much.

also, i never liked dr blake.
that whole bit felt silly to me.

I think that thor is going to be even more successful than iron man... :)

I'd never read Thor before. But when I saw that cover on the comic book rack, I had to get it. What a great issue.

I have all of those Simonson illustrated Thor's. They were doing a lot of neat/goofy stuff with him, such as turning him into a frog, and introducing Beta Ray Bill.
