this guy drove up to a LAPD police station and yelled at all the cops he was going to kill them then hopped in his car and took off. this is raw video, so turn down the volume.

I was thinking the same thing. The guy was out of the car with five different guys on him, and she is still standing there with gun drawn.

It will be interesting to hear why he felt he needed to flee like that, and if he was already wanted, then why in the hell would he have provoked them by proverbially poking the wasps nest.

It looks like he took a pretty good beating, with several punches to the face, and pepper spray was used at one point. There was a lot of blood on the ground when they picked him up too.

During the chase he once stuck his head out the window, lol...

That's what they do in Oakland now for burglary, larceny, grand theft, embezzlement, etc.... you have to report them on their website. Then they'll get back to you if they have time, and are bored.

what if he kills one of them before they find him? death threats shouldn't be taken lightly. if you let people go just because they speed away in a car then everyone will be doing it.

and then the guy kills someone and the city gets sued for millions of dollars...

Doesn't seem to me like chasing them down through the streets has ever been a deterrent. If it worked as you suggest, there wouldn't be car chases anymore would there? As for the death threats, they aren't really valid coming from an unarmed lunatic that's running away. I understand that the police do not have the ability to reason or think, but maybe their boss could put in in writing for them or something. Maybe work it into the daily pledge of police allegiance or something.

Guy holding a gun pointed at you issuing a death threat = an immediate threat.
Guy yelling "I'm gonna kill you" then running away laughing = crazy person non-threat.

So I stick by my first assessment. Set the fucker on fire right outside the police station, tase him while watching him burn, then shoot him to make sure he's dead when it's over. No need to waste gasoline and time chasing him through the streets. Just hit the bastard with a flamethrower and get it over with.

not at all, i'm suggesting that getting a license plate number and taking him down at will is safer than a massive high speed chance resulting in several car crashes, people throwing themselves out of the way and having a standoff resulting in 10+ officers looking like morons
