So I Called My Cable Company To See If I Could Get The Youth Olympics On TV

I go through WOW which is a fairly big cable company and they said they didn't have a channel that carries it.

Then the guy gives me this site.

Is it standard practice for your billing/tech guy to give out sites like that?

For one thing it's full of shit and popups, you can barely navigate it and it forces you to download vlc to watch anything even if you already have it on your system. Looks like a scam or virus central.

Of course it's not standard practice as it also not standard practice for people to ask GFY every question that ever comes into their head.....but of course some people do it.

Should I have ham or cheese in my sandwiches?

If I worked tech support I would also setup a "pay per download" page and then direct lesser knowing customers to it when they call in. What a great way to make extra money from unknowing customers who actually believe that I help them...
