Hi.

Buy & Sell if over that way...

Why bother putting a 2257 statement on your site at all?

I understand that as a Canadian company you are not required to follow this law but since your declaration is there, why not make it legal?

By doing what you are doing, you are demonstrating that you either don't understand the law, which should bother potential US based clients, or you don't care about the law which should also be a concern to potential US based clients.

Aaron, it's a good faith gesture. Trust me, the 2257 I offer my clients is unmatched. I keep better records of studio's 2257 than the studios themselves do. Please feel free to message me anytime to discuss the inner workings.

You want people to trust you when your "good faith gesture" violates US Federal law two different ways?

You think your records are unmatched? I highly doubt that.

Let's discuss the finer points then, you have my ICQ. After which, I'd love for you to name me one broker that provides more complete documentation than I do. I highly doubt that you'll be able to.

nice content, nice deal

Caligari 08-20-2010 11:32 AM

so you do have all 2257 docs for the hardcore photo sets for instance, which are included when the content is downloaded correct?

Yes, every set includes documentation in the zip file.

You also get a PDF 2257 reference attached to your license agreement showing all your sets, the 2257 data for each (Model names, stage names, DOB, DOP, Studio custodian info, etc), and you can download a CSV file of this data for importation into your 2257 software or database.

I have no need to ICQ you and no need for me to provide any info about other brokers.

I asked a question which you answered but then I mentioned additional concerns which you avoided.

The bottom line is the site falls short on compliance and that casts doubt about your compliance overall. My suggestion is that you fix the site and eliminate the doubt. :2 cents:

Just a suggestion...But WTF do I know?

Aaron, I know the two things you are referring to. As I live in Canada and it is a Canadian corp, I won't be inspected and gave the info that I did (ie, using a PO box) so that I may still be contacted regarding 2257 matters if the need arises. I realize that it doesn't put my site 100% in compliance, but that bears no relation to the documentation I provide my clients. Thank you for pointing it out. If you wish to make a content order, I'll be happy to refund any sets you feel do not have adequate documentation. This offer is always open to all my clients. After eight years in the content business, I've always gone out of my way to ensure customers are satisfied.

I appreciate the response as well as your position. Unfortunately, I do not buy content from sites that are not compliant. Just a silly little rule I have.

DamianJ 08-20-2010 12:11 PM

Bump for a great deal for great content, eh.

You said it, it is rather silly. As my site has no obligation to be so. However, you've made your point.
