Peep Show

I recently began watching this show and I must say that it is probably one of the funniest and most original shows I have seen in a long time. I can see how stuff like the office and life and times of Tim was inspired by this along with a ton of other shows. It's basically brilliant.

Anyone else a fan?

Yes.

The filming as if actually being the persons eyes and hearing their thoughts is what makes it different - never seen that on anything before as the whole show.

Yeah, i was going to point out that the Office was not influenced by Peep Show. If anything, Operation GoodGuys was proberbly its biggest influence.

Actually peep show started broadcasting in 2003, you are still right though.

I love that show. I go to a lot of tv and radio recordings in London (free ..I like free) and over the last year a good number of them have been hosted by David Mitchell. However funny he is on camera...he is a great deal more funny off. I have him in the running for being one of the comedy geniuses of his generation.

I went to a taping of his radio show Unbelievable Truth (fairly dull on air but the recordings are really funny) and the other guests were Stephen Fry, Alan Davies and Rob Brydon and Mitchell's comic wit off "camera" beat them all which isn't easy work.

If you haven't checked out his Soapbox podcasts on Youtube do it.

And of course there is Robert Webb's Flashdance moment for charity :)
