Thumblogger/SensualWriter/Sexusblog, are these all on autopilot (not run by anybody)?
 

I've been trying to get a IP white listed at thumblogger/sensualblogger for almost 3 months now. I've posted on their support forums (numerous users have), I've emailed, I've used the built in tool that removes IP's from blacklists and adds it to the whitelist (I've been in que since May). I haven't even gotten as much as a 'fuck you' back from any of those avenues.

Does anyone really run these sites anymore? Have they just been abandoned to die a slow death? I've got hundreds of users on linkspun who have a few freeblogs there and they cannot verify any links as the IP(s) of our spider are banned.

Twan, Twan's Girlfriend (Marie?), The Investor, The Quality Control?

Are any of you around or do you even exist?

In a storm like todays industry is, an unmanned ship is NOT going to sail very far.

Right now there is 3 ways this can all go down.

1. Someone at thumblogger spends 30 seconds to add us to the whitelist.
2. I pay programmer to rewrite the spider for linkspun to specially handle the abandoned thumblogger domain without knowing if it will continue to work, as there is nobody reachable at thumblogger.
3. I say fuck it and block all of Twans brands and recommend a freehost that is NOT missing in action.


Guess which one I've been hoping for.

You have HUNDREDS of users using my system to track links on your sites, why don't you at least answer ONE OF US.

If I sound a little pissy forgive me, I've spent 5-10 hrs a week (since May) attempting to keep your users satisfied on my tool (I'm also a user of yours) and I cannot get an answer from you either way.


Feel free to respond to this thread, or any one of the several threads on your support forums from both myself, and your users. You may also answer any of the emails, or form submitted messages I've sent. Or even alternatively, get me on ICQ listed in my sig, or at jdoughs at linkspun.com

I saw your threads over there, so this is probably a redundant suggestion: I've had more luck sending Twan a PM than making a public post in the forum. If you haven't sent a PM or haven't sent one recently over there, I'd recommend taking a stab at fixing it that way. Good luck.

Well put. I hope Twan sees this sooner than later. I got my start in blogging using his properties. I would hate to not be able to trade on what is quickly becoming the premier link trading site.

On a similar note... Thunder-ball, please stop stripping the fucking www. from my URLs! And write a fucking bot that sees these two links as one in the same:

Add in decoding apostrophes in anchor text correctly and maybe LinkSpun won't pass your lazy ass!

Thanks Amelia, I did try to PM him on his board when I made my original post over there, that was back in May and I see no replies. I can try that again.

The part that has me thinking nobody is monitoring the support forums or whitelist is because its not just myself whose tried to rectify the situation, but also other users of his services have posted for fixes, just to be ignored as well.

Same here Vrocks, I have always loved thumblogger and I've gone to bat for all of his freehosts on Linkspun and other boards, I'm a firm believe and user of freehosts. I've made posts on this very forum about how to turn blogs on thumblogger into money or link juice machines.

BTW, I think we already have 'passed' that other place that I won't mention :)

I also have used Twan services and it would really be a shame for me to have to give up a free host because it's not capable with my choice link building community.

TWAN went missing several months ago. There have been threads on other webmaster boards with people looking for him for various reasons. To the best of my knowledge, he has not responded to anyone in months.

Twan is flakier than corn flakes.. Don't rely on his free hosts or any others for that matter.

Yah it may take months/years to resolve this with Twan.

But I wouldnt burn the bridge though. Just leave a note on your site explaining the situation.

no point starting a war though. the dude never responded to any questions i had. just how he rolls.

Nobody mentioned war or burning bridges, just looking for answers.

It's been posted on numerous forums (including his own) that he's been gone for months, so I've got 100 + webmasters wondering if/when this will be fixed.

Just need to know the best approach and who to talk to, but I'm definitely NOT spending another 2-3 months trying to work with someone who isn't there. I don't see that as burning bridges, I see that as common sense.

Seems to be a very logical extension of the Linkspun brand
and the 'competiton' seems disinterested.
