Could you take a risk? (Poker)
If you had the oppertunity to pay a high end poker pro $5000 and get promised a return of $30,000 would you take the risk?
Let's say Phil Ivy was your poker pro. |
Where is the risk if there is a promise of return? Not that I would believe it...
|
Only if that poker pro was a friend I could trust.

Gamble big, win big. Gamble big, lose big. Don't know but I would likely say ...
It there is a gamble hoss |

If it's betting on whether he'd win some big tournament or something where it's dealing with odds, then it's no different than betting on anything else. Imagine how much people have lost in the past year betting on Tiger Woods. |
Phil Ivy, not a problem. He's certainly good for it and I'd take that chance in a heartbeat.

Hell yes, I've raped plenty of pros, they don't have some mystical secret. As long as you're a decent player, their margin of increased is pretty slim. At any given session, it's 90% the cards you're dealt compared to his. At 6 to 1 odds on the money, you would be insane to turn that game down.

Hmm is it a Nigerian Professional Poker player? Did this come in an email? If so...go for it! Hahaa
But really I saw Ivy clubbing it up in Vegas the other week. He's got the $$$ to spend but almost 6 figures in one night is a little extreme...! |
as long as I have a super user account to see his cards.
6 to 1 odds is +EV if you have some game |
yea, hmm, lend someone $$ so they can gamble with it, sounds like a great idea... NOT

Can you afford to take the loss? No. Then you can't afford to take the risk. Especially in poker. Just too many variables involved. :2 cents:
