I don't see any surprise here. Too bad we don't have the last 4 years of data or the corresponding net after taxes income to look at. The top few percent represent nearly all of the tax revenue and as a percentage of their revenues pay a multiple more. Furthermore, who would be surprised that America's most prosperous families would continue to see income growth with the kinds of numbers they represent - it's hard to stop a freight train from coming into town, clearly the wealthiest have substantial buying opportunities in a down economy.

Having lived in a third world country I can tell you having a huge gap and no middle class is scary and not the type of place you want to live.

welfare is a disease that only benefits the wealthy. This surprises you? Even your savior Obama knows that when poor people get money they just waste it, thats why he wants to give them more to boost the economy.

Sometimes, even when you know a thing to be true, checking out statistics which confirm it are depressing.

As a rule of thumb, how advanced a civilization is can be judged by the prosperity and health of its middle class. This is dismal, under current circumstances.

Kinda a skewed look to make a report on... So the top 10% grow, but where is the data for the middle class? I would 'assume' the 70-89% income ranges probably do better than the 10% people. Does any part of the middle class grow or just the bottom half that it starts to slip?

Rich people invest money. Poor people put $5,000.00 wheels on they $2,000.00 car to impress other idiots around them doing the same things. Not hard to figure out why there is big difference in growing money or losing money.

Government interference in the economy (taxes, legal tender laws, state monopolies,...) is the problem. Government interference in the economy only benefits the super rich (those who 'own' the government).

The "bush tax cuts" were passed in such a way that they had to be allowed to expire within 10 years, or until someone thought up a way to pay for them. Surprise surprise. They dont pay for themselves, or even trickle down like we were fooled to believe. (only 3% of small businesses even make enough to "benefit" from them, dont be fooled by the liars who pretend that all small businesses need this shit to survive. Pure lie.)

So be aware that when the bush tax cuts were passed, they were INTENDED to expire. They havent paid for anything but some new stories on some peoples 30 room cottages anyway. Fucking whiney babies dont want to pay the rate they did in the 90's, wah wah.
