Who here has the Android 2 and do you like it?

Not sure when the 2 came out, but I think I'm going to get one for the wife today. She is over the Iphone. It crashed today, never has reception and it won't boot back up now.

Sorry Juicy, maybe Iphone 12 will work when it gets here, and I know you will buy everyone from now till then.

Thanks for your feedback.

That's the only reason I'm keeping mine, I never take out my real camera of Video camera anymore.

But she needs to make actual phone calls. :Oh crap

i wanted the phone too until my daughter told me that her best friend has it and it won't fit into her front pocket and it's hard to text and hold it because it is so big or wide. i need to go check it out for myself. point of phone in front pocket is needing it on vibrate sometimes (quote for jokes here) so as not to miss calls in loud venues or working in an office and not wanting it to be disruptive.

Just got it. It kicks ass IMO. Had the blackberry storm before it and I'm way more thrilled with the droid 2.

I got the Storm 2 ;) Awesome for work the wifi seams a bit weak though

Just got a HTC legend running 2.1 and so far its pretty sweet haven't tried it out on a phone plan yet but the wifi and being able to install apps without being locked to the marketplace is awesome

fitzmulti 09-08-2010 01:10 PM

I do and I love it!
Awesome!

I have the HTC Desire (Froyo 2.2) and am very happy great balance between open source programing and design. Everything can be set out to suite you no matter what your key uses for the phone are. Best features for me have to be the way the browser works given the work they do with the Open Screen Project. Plus the 5 home screens are 100% bespoke so using the widgets and apps you can build you own front end to the phone.

*Edit* BlackBerry users check out the " Torch " not a bad attempt at crossing the addictive keyboard and touch screen browsing.

I like those HTC Evos

IllTestYourGirls 09-08-2010 02:21 PM

Iphone sux! I'm glad droid is out with their open platform so I don't have to hack it just to be able to not use AT&T. I got a droid x and love it way better but the no flash player for it blows. Anybody got a fix till adobe releases the download?

Cyandin 09-08-2010 03:12 PM

The HTC EVO 4G runs Android 2.2, and it's goddamn awesome!

Semi-Retired-Dave 09-08-2010 03:16 PM

Thanks everyone, Just picked one up for her. She cussed out the iphone last night so bad because of calls being dropped.

If Verizon would hurry up and get the Iphones, the stocks should double.
I'm sure Steve and AT&T have a Contract he's been trying to get out of.

NaughtyRob 09-08-2010 03:20 PM

Dont have that but have the Samsung Captivate (Galaxy S) and LOVE it.

Nice, when you make it big. You better send her some of your residual checks.
She gets them all the time, nice little income especially when you don't expect them. :thumbsup

the good thing with android is that you can choose from dozens of different phones - i'm sure you will find one that is small enough - check for example the sony xperia mini

Titanium Cliq's are shiny and cheap Android phones for wives. They don't need moving wallpapers and shit.

munki 09-08-2010 04:54 PM

android foe lyfe...

candyflip 09-08-2010 06:01 PM

All of the new Android phones are hot. Samsung and HTC especially.

The new Samsung Galaxy line is the one phone that spanks the iPhone.
