There is a club that exists called the Polar Bear Club. The people in the Polar Bear Club swim in freezing cold water in the winter time. Of course, it's not about washing in the winter. It's more about a show of high tolerance for cold. A Polar Bear Club could exist in many cities.

Our winters are extremely cold so I rarely leave the house. Just for food and to visit the bar. I shower right before I go to the bar.

I shower everyday. I just set water temperature according to the weather, and all is well.

By the way, twice a day in summer .. once in the morning, once after getting back from gym.

To me a shower is up there with a cup of coffee - the day doesn't really begin until I've had both.

Many years ago however, I lived in a place that required bathroom renovations, and for a week or so I did not have access to a shower. I had to make due with a sink and washcloths. It sounds ridiculous, but I was still able to get totally cleaned up - it took much less time - and it save many gallons of water!

If this poll were conducted in each country separately, I bet the results would be much different.

I'm guessing one or two hot showers or baths a day is another one of those "Excessive American" things.

I make bread with the yeast from my balls, showering means no bread..

In winter? Hell I shower twice a day almost every day in the dead cold of winter just to warm up and get some humidity into the air.
