How do you best determine a fair price for a hard link purchase?

I was gonna ask how affective are hardlinks but what is a fair price. thats even better

If you are looking at hardlinks for SEO purposes. You'll have to look at a variety of factors on the site the hardlink will go on. Like incoming links, popularity, relevance, etc.

For traffic purposes, you should look at how much traffic they are getting and determine how much you are willing to pay CPM or CPC.

We're thinking about buying some advertising, think it's worth it for us? How much should it cost?

Pricing depends on your CPC/CPM bid, how much volume you would like, etc. It could be worth it. It is best to start with a small test budget and go from there.
