Hahaha GFY tards feeling sorry for torrent users
give me a fucking break - they ARE torrent users! 99.9% of torrent users are not 'sharing' - they are 'stealing'.
i've downloaded from torrents and if one day I got a letter from an attorney saying i'm being sued for downloading something i'd say 'oh fucking great, i'm one of the douchebags who got caught, what do I owe?'. I wouldn't ask or expect anybody to feel sorry for me. I know what I'd do - i'd ignore it hoping it went away, if it didn't go away and I realized I was going to have to defend myself for being a douchebag I'd go for the settlement and move on - the only way I'd pay to defend myself is if they asked for too much money in a settlement. then i'd have to take my chances with an attorney who'd defend me with the defense that identifying people by IP addresses is far from foolproof. i can't wait until i get in on this, bottom line is that there isn't one opponent of this legal tactic who has any significant money invested in content. if you do, prove it. state your objection and then show us YOUR content that you paid $XX,XXX minimally to produce. won't fucking happen. |

pretty much hit it right there... maybe to relieve some arguments in the future we should stop calling it stealing (they are not depriving the owner of the original) or piracy ('cause the kids think that is cool) and call it what it is... counterfeiting - cause that is what it really is - and it is a crime - to do it - to distribute it - to be in posession of it. someone should try that out in court . |
