TopBucks Mobile goes b2b with TB Mobile Services
 

Over the course of the last 18 months or so, a lot of companies that have seen the success of TopBucks/Pink Visual's foray into the mobile market have hit us up to ask if we could lend a hand with their own mobile efforts.

The answer to that question -- which for months had been "sorry, no" -- has changed.

Meet the new b2b services division of TopBucks: TB Mobile Services

TB Mobile Services (hereafter "TBMS" - 'cause I'm lazy like that) is designed to give clients a low cost, high quality entry into the mobile porn market. With TBMS, there is no cash investment required; we design the sites, host them, encode the videos, handle the transactions and take care of affiliate program integration.

This is not simply a 'white label' solution; when you work with TBMS, the resulting sites will feature your content, under your brand, and at the URL of your choosing.

A fourth client, Wasteland.com, signed up earlier this week, which we couldn't be happier about. Not only is Wasteland.com a legendary BDSM destination, Colin happens to be a hell of a great guy and one of my favorite people in this business.

We're adding clients slowly and selectively to ensure that we don't grow the client base too quickly and thereby risk delivering less than excellent service to each of our valued partners. As you can tell from our list of initial clients above, we're showing a preference for producers of unusual content that has a strong niche focus and 'specialty' appeal.

I don't quite agree with John Herlihy (Google Europe VP) who said that the conventional PC will be "irrelevant" in three years, but he's not wrong to suggest that the migration to mobile as a browsing method of choice will continue, and that migration will substantially increase in pace over the next few years.

It's a good time to get yourself positioned to take advantage of that migration, for sure.

Yep -- that's the basic goal here; lower the barrier to entry, and convert potential competitors into partners along the way.

I was actually going to contact you guys with my 1000+ Asian hetro scenes and 800 Asian gay scenes to do mobile sites with you like you did for Grooby, but was totally turned off the past few days after reading all that nonsense with your company and Manwin. Not because you made a deal with them, but because Nathan is such an arrogant, thief, prick, I don't want to do business with anyone who would support or get into bed with such an unethical person. You guys took "flushing an excellent reputation down the toilet" to a new level as soon as you associated your name with his.

I know you'll sleep just fine without my content, but just wanted to let you know why I will not do business with you now.

DWB, your perception that Pink Visual (who is the only company in this industry who has sued the Mansef/Manwin Tubes) supports Manwin & that we are in bed together is far off base.

As I said, Pink Visual is acting reasonably and professionally. We do clearly support Manwin in integrating the digital finger print filtering technology because it obviously directly benefits us and, in addition, benefits the many other participating studios.

Setting Manwin up to not move quickly on the digital finger print integration would not be in anyone's best interest. Seeing a major network of tube sites integrate filtering is the goal we want to work towards.

And to top it off, obviously, for myself or Pink Visual to engage in slander would definitely not be in our best interest. We have never engaged in board bashing against any company and don't intend to start now.

I am confident most people understand our position and am also confident in the high end mobile services we'll be able to help other studios provide.
