My epassporte experience and resolution
 

I had a few hundred caught up in my virtual visa when it all hit the fan earlier this year for epassporte. I just kind of waited it out hoping they'd come back online, obviously that won't happen now.

So earlier this week i emailed SKNAB and epassporte about the situation (frozen funds, not my abs), SKNAB replied and told me to call them during business hours to work it out. So I did, after going through the usual confirmations the kind Caribbean woman on the phone let me know my virtual visa details and my balance which was in full and available, however i couldn't get my cvv at that time, she told me to call back in a few days. So i called back today, got my cvv with very little hassle. Went immediately online and used the virtual visa to renew some domains and paid some hosting bills which all conveniently added up to within a dollar of my available balance... case closed.

That's it -- two short phone calls, and i spent the balance. Nothing lost. If i had been smarter and saved my virtual visa details locally instead of relying on the epassporte message center it seems i wouldnt have even had to of made the calls at all.

For what it's worth, I'm happy enough that it worked out and I had no exposure. Maybe this will help anyone else that is struggling to get to their funds.

I've emailed them multiple times. Called and they asked for my email address, said they would give me priority.

I had already received replies saying my card should work. It has not. Now again they email me saying I have 24 hours and they unblocked my card, and IT STILL DOES NOT WORK!

So good for you but they are not taking care of everyone the same, that is for sure.

i never had a plastic card, and never used the wallet -- maybe that has something to do with it

That only happened because you had a low amount of money stuck in your Visa card.

If you had a large amount (over $2k) or if your money was stuck on Epass wallet, you wouldn't be able to use it.

That's the reason so many people are still complaining.

I still have over $10k stuck on my Visa card, that still doesn't work.

I have 400 and change in there and an expired card and no response from anyone.

They activated my card yesterday, so I'm happy, too.

I wish people would stop referring to the SKNAB Visa as an Epass thread.

The two have nothing to do with each other anymore.

VV is no longer a Epass issue.

SKNAB has come out looking great !

I eyeballed what was left and went shopping, card was rejected so I asked the lady to remove a pack of sausages and try again, this time it worked. So I emptied it to about a packet of sausages worth. lol.

Never kept more than 600$, I think that was my maximum a few years back.

Wel i have 50k stuck with them. I dont have any domains coming up any time soon. lol

Unless i want to extend them for a lifetime i guess for my kids kids kids.

How do we check our VV balance?

I have spent some of the funds on mine, but I have no idea how much are left??

Anybody?
