I recently found out about grooveshark.com, you wont be able to download them but you sure can listen to anything.

I believe the're a legal company now because they signed a deal with EMI.

I stream my music from Spotify. Got one of those free accounts. I also use another paid streaming service that costs $15/month.

usenet, when i like the tune i go to the store to buy the full album, if i dont like it it gets deleted in a matter of minutes.

http://www.zunepass.net is the way to go, fuck Itunes, you get all the downloads you want for $14.99 per month, but you get access to them only as long as you have an account, however every month, they let you keep 10 songs, so that pays for itself. I got the program installed on 2 of my computers and my son up on his, so all 3 computers in the house got a full library of tunes.

The service is made to work with a Zune, but you can buy a cheap program to pull the protection from the music and put it on any MP3 player you want and to make the songs work if you ever cancel the pass, but hell, for me, I've been using it for almost 2 years now and I LOVE IT !

Pandora radio is the awesome for free listing other wise I pay for mine on Itunes.
