Will CA Prop 19 Pass (legalization of recreational marijuana use)

Has the time finally come to allow recreational use of pot? CNN says it is looking like it is going to fail!

I doubt it. Not even sure it should any more.

mchacal 11-01-2010 02:00 PM

Oh yes please!!! Make it legal so the US brown nosing Canadian government finally makes it legal too

dyna mo 11-01-2010 02:00 PM

i hope it does not, it is poorly written/executed legislation.

besides, the guvernator decriminalized pot recently and with medicinal available, anyone who wants pot can get it already.

The law is just fine the way it is, hell you can go for walks smoking it now wjhile you walk

V_RocKs 11-01-2010 02:05 PM

No.. and this is what you get when a bill is drafter by a bunch of loadies...

Had they come up with a real bill with real solutions it would have passed 70/30 easy like the medical use did.

myneid 11-01-2010 02:39 PM

i hope it passes.
means all those people that rarely vote got out there and voted for something.
maybe also help to get other people to take the matter seriously like the federal government.

and kids, remember, just say NO to drugs

FACT: Voting NO on STEVE COOLEY does more for the MMJ community than Voting Yes on Prop 19. Steve Cooley is NOT cool with MMJ. Vote NO on Steve Cooley tomorrow. Spread the word!!!!

Quoted for truth. :2 cents:

I like the proposition that it will get a whole new crew that doesn't usually vote to go take the time to do it. But as far as the law, being Canadian I'll read the even more poorly written one in a couple months when they decide to "do what the cool thing is"

Pretty sure Prop 19 will pass.

If passed, legalization in California is going to affect the British Columbia economy big time!

I voted no. I hope it does. I'm not a weed smoker, nor do I like in Cali, but I think it should be legal.

The reason I vote no is because from what I have seen in the polls the vote should be very close. There are a lot of people who have been told since they were little kids that pot is terrible and those people won't let themselves change their mind so they will vote no. Also there are a lot of parents who feel that this will make it easier for kids to get their hands on so they will vote no.

Hopefully I'm wrong, but I have a feeling it will be a narrow loss for prop 19.

I agree that cannabis is easier for kids to get than alcohol. I also agree that violence should be decreased.

thickcash_amo 11-01-2010 06:23 PM

I would like to think I would get passed, but I really don't think it will :(

theking 11-01-2010 06:31 PM

My confidence level is high...that it will not pass.
