Call of Duty:Black Ops - Lots of Folks Are Gonna Be Disappointed
 

It's not a bad game at all, in my opinion.

There's a great story and what not, but it's not at the level of Modern Warfare.

People are going to be disappointed, but it's still going to sell a ton and you're going to play the fuck out of it.

i only play the online multiplayer games anyway

i got the sims 3 last week hoping it was online, should have read the back of the box

That's where most of my time with these games are spent. This one's story plays out a little bit differently than past games.

I'll be picking up a copy.

I hate the online multilayer though. These 12 yr old kids kick my ass.

Picking my copy up at 12am Monday. Seen some video of the MP on YouTube and it looks good. That "one in the chamber" online part looks really cool. MW2 MP was garbage IMO, played last night for the hell of it and it's still full of boosters and hacks. I just wish Treyarch put in the flying body parts like they had in WAW.

i heard the same thing. Modern Warfare, from what I read, is one of the top games out there right now.

I got bored with MW2 a while back. This is a welcome change, and so far I'm enjoying it.

I'm not disappointed, I've never had issue with the off year COD games developed by Treyarch. Plenty of people will find plenty to complain about though.

I used to think the same thing when it first came out. I could beat my kid. We did the rust setting, I had any gun I wanted, he had a knife. I didn't get one kill. Fast forward to today, the kid could rack up 60+ kills a game if he wants, but usually ends nuking everyone. Not even fun playing him now.

Yeah i got sick of MW2 a few months ago. Every game i played just seemed to get wasted with boosters etc. Pointless and very annoying.

Yet they haven't even taken out tactical insertion, so i guess we'll still have boosters??



I will be getting my copy on Tuesday when it's out here of course, but i just hope it doesn't end up pissing me off as much. I still love COD 4.

It will be fine and with som many people mad at MW2 I think it will be a godssend for a good month or so... Maybe more. Ill still play MW2 to pro pipe people for sure :thumbsup :pimpo

Will for sure get the game tho, I heard that there is a mode similar to a game I used to play a long time ago called counter strike. The mode is for each kill you get your gun changes and finally at the end you have to kill someone with your knife :1orglaugh I think the knife part happens on black ops lol.

yep i saw that in a video. each kill ups your weapon. should be fun

They actually feature an entire match of that game mode in the video posted above.

lol yeah same here, i just hope the story is longer... i enjoy the COD stories well did the last Modern Warfare ones but they are just too fucking short

Ok...so I made this after playing for about 90 minutes.

After playing the entire single player campaign I must say that is BY FAR the best storyline yet of any COD game yet. The music is great. The enemy AI is decent (really smart in some places, really dumb in others) and you'll spend a bit of time playing things over...as you WILL DIE OFTEN.

I hope the continue with this storyline for a few games. :2 cents:

I really hope it's better than MW2 - I found that one was WAY overhyped, and got real tired of the quickscoping and 10th prestige lobby messages :1orglaugh

I hope they have some cool voice overs on line like WAW had. The German and Japanese ones were borderline racist but hilarious.
