i was 100% sure that this is gong to be an issue as soon as i saw their name on the sponsor list...

but: please don't take this out on the show organizer. first of all it's not easy finding sponsors nowadays and second (since i know him pretty well) i know he's not so much into the international adult business and surely does not read xbiz or gfy and does not know about the issues with .xxx. And it's actually not his job to do a moral judgement on his sponsors - as long as they don't do anything illegal - which ICM does not.

this being said: their presentation at the show did not go as they probably planned since i brought up all points that were previously discussed on the boards. funny thing: 2 people in the audience called .xxx a good thing, later i found out that both work for ICM or are involved as investors.

but afterwards people came up to me and told me they agreed with what i brought up.

later the guy from ICM sat down with me to explain everything better and even though he's a nice person he still admits that he has no clue about the adult business and therefore also does not understand the problems many of us have with .xxx

i told him that i still think it's a bad idea, don't believe in it and still hope that ICANN does not approve.

end of story - for now
