Streaming only movies on paysite?
 

I am about to start a new paysite. I don't intend offering downloadable files, but videos will be streamed with a Flash applet. What do you guys think? Will surfers accept this?

Thinking of using a CDN from vps.net to serve the content. Anybody using them?

The majority of views would be flash even if you offered downloads, so i think most would be happy with that.

If you're starting a new site go streaming only without a second thought - keeping your content locked inside of your member area is worth a little bit of bitching from a small percent of members.

Use an html5 player and stream mp4 videos. That way you won't lose members who prefer to use their mobile device.

Plus, a lot of computers have problems with Flash. I know that my last one sure did ... watching videos on YouTube and other sites was painful.
