Does GFY need an itrader system?

Yes or no?

Klen 11-15-2010 10:55 AM

Yes it would help to weed out bad apples.

brassmonkey 11-15-2010 10:57 AM

hell if i know

AzteK 11-15-2010 11:00 AM

Hell no. Fuck all y'all. :1orglaugh

bloggerz 11-15-2010 11:01 AM

not a bad idea. better than the reputation mod

brassmonkey 11-15-2010 11:09 AM

i think it will be like another site with itrader the fake nicks will just build their rankings

Si 11-15-2010 11:10 AM

I voted yes but after seeing how rep went it could be a bad idea.

A shit list is probably better but like it's been said before it could cause legal bs.

Barefootsies 11-15-2010 11:25 AM

No.

It would be abused just like the other system.

:2 cents:

ottopottomouse 11-15-2010 11:46 AM

iTrader is a reputation system for vbulletin that aims to give points or reputation similar to ebay feedback to forum vendors and buyers.

2intense 11-15-2010 02:56 PM

Admins dont have time for that.

wild johnny 11-15-2010 05:33 PM

I voted no.

Basing buying decisions on a system that can easily be manipulated just makes no sense to me.

MaDalton 11-15-2010 05:44 PM

all you need is a good working search function (hint, hint..) and some common sense :2 cents:

No one would force you to use the system.

True, but haven't we been asking for that for years now?

the idea is that you actually check the references. if you see a list of fucking nobody fake nicks pumping up a nobody name, it should be pretty fucking obvious.

i say give it a go, how could it be any worse than reputation?

mineistaken 11-16-2010 08:10 AM

voted yes (if brps won't abuse it and everybody use it in a decent way)

MrCain 11-16-2010 11:08 AM

It would make a nice addition.

woj 11-16-2010 11:17 AM

How would it be different than the "rep" system we had before?

You can see who's given itrader to the person and draw your own conclusions as to whether it's legitimate or not. Rep was just an ePenis. iTrader actually serves a purpose. All the forums I do a lot of business on have iTrader.

You could review all the info: Who gave a user a positive comment? What business thread are they talking about? What kind of transaction took place?...

No one would be forced to use it, but it would be an additional tool for people who want to know who they are dealing with.

Angry Jew Cat - Banned for Life 11-16-2010 11:27 AM

iTrader is open for everyone to view the ratings, you could see who has dealt with the seller/buyer, what they had to say regarding the transaction, and a link back to the original thread which facilitated the transaction. It is an effective way of establishing a reputation, not just some offbalance +/- system with no rhyme or reason like rep was.

edit: pretty much exactly what was said above me :1orglaugh
