A Note to Epoch and program owners using epoch 1 clicks
Yes, they are broken and have been for awhile. We discovered some problems and they said they had to take it back to development. Yes, epoch, a huge billing company having to take something back to development. So note to epoch. Get it fixed. This is unacceptable. Note to Program owners: Epoch one clicks aren't working. Test them yourself and see. This is a big problem and it's already taken them going on two weeks to get nowhere.

fuck me really??
thanks for the heads up |
All fine on my side. Both xsales and membership plus.
Partners on NATS and proprietary reporting all good. Are you referring to incoming or outgoing or both? |

1st problem: We had made a change to our infrastructure which meant that post backs were not able to get through into our servers. At no point did epoch let us know that post backs were failing, nor was there a status update anywhere on their site. It had been down for 4-8 weeks, and not once did they let us know something went wrong. This meant users were able to access the site, even if they canceled or refunded.
2nd problem: When generating MemberPlus entries (i.e. an additional transaction which spawns from the original transaction), in essense becoming a "one click", there is a problem where the password field is not enforced, and therefore can sometimes be blank. Because of this, the transaction fails to generate a password in NATS, effectively billing the user, but not allowing them to access anything. Duke |

Did Epoch give any indication that this is just with NATS clients or across the board? I'm not trying to discredit Duke's find, just narrow it down a bit as I don't see the same trends and have quite a few transactions going through Epoch. If anyone is in doubt, send the PI code you send one clicks to and Epoch can create you a dump of all the members and then you can put that into an Excel file, gather the numbers of members and compare against the program stats. |
