Happy Day before Thanksgiving!!!

This is like Planet of the Apes, except it's Planet of the Turkeys.

I don't even know what kind of food is served at the restaurant we are going to.

Roasted as always, but my daughter came home for the holidays, she's done with the Navy and on to college, shes a vegetarian, so today I have to pick up some tofurkey. I'll try a little, I try everything once, well almost everything, LOL

My bad! Just did. It's in brine and garlic/herbs in an oven bag now. Tomorrow I'll stick in the oven for the first few hours just in the oven bags and all that juice so the flavors really sink in.:thumbsup

Today I start making the desserts.

Do they sell turkey at KFC?

Roasted with herbed butter rubbed all over the meat under the skin.

I went to the website . . . appears to be roasted if I opt for turkey at all.

Also, for those roasting or frying be sure to Brine soak 8-24hrs first... :winkwink:

:thumbsup I threw in a mix of chicken bullion, about 10 cloves of garlic, and a bunch of herbs along with the salt for extra flavor. Hoping for a tasty and juicy bird!

I tried fried once, thought it sucked. Way too greasy for this California guy, but I understand Southerners live for that stuff.

I agree with Baddog, I liked that it was fried in peanut oil but it was a big to heavy for me. Although if they figured out how to make butter flavored oil I'd probably eat the whole thing.

4 lbs of turkey per adult, 2.25 lbs of turkey per child is what I calculated as being sufficient!
