Indeed. I wouldn't use them for a 100,000 uniques a day tube site, but for small to medium projects it's super reliable, and at that price it's a win win situation. Doubt the 80% off servers will last long though

By beats I mean uptime, support, service and everything else that matters. Yes, their prices are high right now but they weren't a few years ago. They just haven't lowered prices with everyone else. I heard that Nat Net was good but I'm not the kind of person to fire off an email every time I want a database installed so I avoided them. :2 cents:

I started with Candid Hosting and gave others a try all the way through 2008. Most people don't mind harassing support to get simple shit fixed, I prefer never having problems in the first place.

What have I tried to establish? I have been working the internet for a long ass time, I'm not talking out of my neck as you put it. I would not say HostGator is better than every other host I've used if I only used one other host. I have used several and worked with several more. Not one has held a candle to the 'economy' host you blasted for no apparent reason. Got a bad experience with them? I would wager no.

Their main page claims they host 4 million domains. They didn't get there for no reason.
