I heard it on the radio this morning and wondering... dont these people have jobs/children/any responsibilities ?

These people really came early to be the first in line. Perhaps they were too early. They started waiting several days before any line formed.

It's just that easy to get into the news.

Being early is not often the same as being punctual. If you are late to work you will get reprimand from your boss. A line is formed when a few people get behind each other in front of store.

That's nice - I guess they don't care why their doctor said she should be on bed rest. I hope the kids are ok.

How dumb can they be? These people have zero math skills.

The amount of time from their lives they are wasting has to have some value. Assuming everyone is earning minimum wage or contributes at least a little to their homes, it has cost each person who has waited an average of 1 and half full days about $252.00 to wait in that line.

The average mark-up of brand name big unit items at Best buy is only 7%. Assuming they sell items at COST for that day (which they won't), these people will have to spend at least $3600.00 on a big TV for example.

As everyone knows, the prices of TV's and other electronics drop in value very quickly. All these people really have to do is wait about 1 month and then go buy the item they want. They'll save even more money than they will buying on Friday, and they won't have had to waist 2 days of their lives to get it.

Silly silly people.

Best Buy is known for gouging too. Great pricing on 1 item but you get ripped on everything else. Go to Fry's or use Amazon, i'm done with BB.
