If a good domain somehow expires, it is immediately captured by their software and then sold to the highest bidder in an auction.

By any means, you cannot manually register a domain like this these days and get away by paying only the reg fee.

Clearly HotSexChat(dot)com is better than SexHotChat(dot)com

HotSexChat(dot)com, from what I remember, sold with 2k on gfy a couple of years ago.

I'm not implying by any means that SexHotChat(dot)com has the exact same value, but I think we can all agree that is a good domain name for an adult chat site/white label etc.

I won it in an auction and had the plan to build an adult chat site on it, but unfortunately I had some misunderstandings with the other company which needed to provide the platform. Maybe someone else can use it for their project.

To be sincere with you, I won this domain at $119, so I really don't expect something big. I can send a screenshot from the auction to whoever wants it.

The only guys making money in the domain name game, are those guys that got you to buy that crappy domain name for $119. What was the thought process when you click on the button to bid $119 for SexHotChat.com? I only ask, because I want to help others not make the same mistake's!

First and foremost, if you would have read the previous discussions, I purchased this domain name with the intent to build something on it.

Second, it was already in an auction, meaning it was already registered by one of the biggest domain drop catchers.

What this means? It means that the domain has a value, otherwise they would not waste their resources to capture it.

Second, your domain examples have nothing to do with the value of mine, because nobody is interested on those keyword combinations and they also have no search volume.

They don t have a very high volume but they have a $1.48 CPC and a medium paid difficulty.

What this means?

It means that "Sex Hot Chat" keywords have a good value and there are already websites who bid on these keywords combinations because they bring money to them.

Actually, there is no need to make any kind of research, because, if you are experienced on chat keywords, you would already know that "sex hot chat" are valuable keyword combinations, used already in many titles and descriptions of different websites.



I would highly appreciate if people like you, who may be very good in their business field but who don't fully understand the process of evaluating a domain name, to not interfere in other people's threads.

Here is where your thinking went off the rails, just because it is for sale somewhere, and has a price tag higher than what it should actually be priced at, doesn't mean that it's actually worth that price!!! That is why I said, the only one's making any money on domains anymore are the guys that got you to fork over $119.

True but I spent like 30 seconds looking up what was dropped in the last couple of days, I wasn't looking for a domain to complete with you on keywords. Which by the way is not very smart, you are never going to compete with the results that are in the top 20 which is where are the traffic goes on search results.

True, I only own about 1000 domains, but in my case they all pay for themselves. I have a hard time seeing where SexHotChat.com is going to do anything more than suck dns reg fee's out of you.

After the domain was captured by the drop catcher, the auction started from $35 for sexhotchat(dot)com and reached $119. I really liked this domain because I didn't found anything else better than this chat related keyword-rich domain for this price.

my max bid was up to $150, anyway I understand very well that "hot sex chat" is much more valuable than "sex hot chat", but wanted a domain at that time which contain a popular keywords combination.

If nobody wants to buy sexhotchat.com at $30 , I'll probably start building something on it, just for the sake of these keywords, even if they aren't in the perfect order.
