[Lingerie Niche] - Blog at a Cost Price
Hi there fellow GFY members.
It’s been almost a year since I started my journey in the adult niche and I must say I learn a great deal from it! Even though it was a side-project, at times I felt like I was running a separate business, minus the imagined piles of gold of course 😉 What am I selling and why? Since March 2019 until August I’ve been working on an adult niche blog, mainly building up content and trying to promote the website in a number of ways. Starting from August I got swamped with multiple other responsibilities, to a point where my health took a hit, so I decided to stop working on this side project altogether and sell the website. The website is in the “lingerie” niche, and it is a blog type of the website (versus tubes and other types popular in the adult niche). It runs on a premium wordpress theme (paid ~ USD 65 for it) and looks pretty decent in my opinion, given that this was my first website built ever. I decided to sell it PURELY at a cost price, meaning I am only charging you for the costs I myself suffered once (listed further) Basic info on the website being sold: • Niche: lingerie porn. • Domain name: lingerieporn.co • Audience: guys and girls who want to see high quality (not necessarily HD/5k) porn selected for them that has lots of shots of nice lingerie in it • Hosting: hosted on hostgator • WPress: premium WP theme • Other / plugins: positive SSL added via Namecheap, custom on-demand made logo, responsive web design (mobile friendly) • Traffic: at it’s peak was around 30-40 UU top. After I stopped working and actively pushing the promotion, it dropped to below 10 numbers daily • Monetization: (or so I planned) was done via exxoclick. I also have an account on JuicyAds, but these were less profitable, so I ended up turning them off. What’s unique about the website: I’m pretty sure the niche itself has huge potential, in case you will know how to build your audience. Affiliate offers from lingerie itself (with a nsfw angle) to toys etc. will potentially convert on this kind of website as. Additionally I think it’s: • Content – I’ve been able to join many high-quality affiliate platforms that offer very good content. And by good I mean really good, although of course not exclusive. If you will be willing to go through the content affiliates offer you (weekly usually) you will definitely be able to build a decent following. • Social media audience – after many searches online and many dms to good people out there I figured on which platforms it actually makes most sense to promote my website. These include: Pillowfort, Twitter, Flickr, Mastadon, Humblr, Newtumbl, Ello etc. On all those platforms I have good aged accounts and somewhat passively built audience. Additional stuff I’m throwing in: As mentioned, I started this journey almost a year ago and in the process, I have outsourced some of the tasks, to the make the process easier. This included: • Buying a Twitter Attacks Pro Bot ($75 worth, I think they gave me some sort of discount) • Outsourcing a Mastadon Bot creation ($50 worth, works smoothly although your computer has to be on) Total cost: I want to be open and honest with you guys, although I’m sure many of you won’t care. Still though, below is a breakdown of the costs I’ve incurred over the course of +9 months: • Premium Wordpress Theme - $62 • Logo design on demand - $25 • Wordpress tweaks and plugins / outsourced - $40 • Positive SSL at Namecheap - $25 • Hosting at hostgator - $97 (expires Mar 15 2020) • Domain - $20 (expires Mar 12, 2021) • Twitter Attacks Pro – $75 • Mastadon Bot - $50 Of course, there were some other costs (ello.co bot, wordpress tweaks etc.) but these are not value-adding to the total bulk. So the total cost is/was $344. I’m willing to sell it at $300. For anyone who will be open to it – I’m even willing to give you another small discount, as a nice gesture, just because I’d really love to see this blog take off one day 😉 Interested? Unfortunately the value of a website is not determined by how much it costed but on how much it worth with the advertisements. Starting from a base of 300 users per month, this can produce about 3 $ / month. The value of a site it can be calculated as this value multiplied 6-12-24 times. So it seems, according to my understanding, your site worth from 18 to 72 $.
I suggest to try to work on promotion and when you have a good traffic base you can sell it. |
