Please critique my design
Hello Everyone,
This is going to be my first site and am hoping I can get some criticism on the design/layout/domain name. Please check vodviewer.com/rough01.htm and let me know what I can do to improve on it. The banners only at the bottom prob suck, I was thinking of taking the chick out of the background when the user is not on the home page and replacing it with sidebar ads. Also the top and bg will most likely be tiling horizontally. I think I will be able to pull of the chick on the right as a bg with a div but well see how well that plays out in the end. If you could possible let me know if the name is decent as well it will be much appreciated. I bought a lot of different names this weekend and I thin they are good, but then I ask "why weren't they taken?" lol. Thanks Everyone, Jason |

Sorry, work for an art studio and when we make roughs, we do that, just second nature for me to post with one lol. Hope I didn't offend by having that in there just kind of instinctively did it.

I think i would use a model with bigger tits.
How many previews are you going to show? Will there be a verticle overlow of the page? I do like the overall design. |

Before buy domains take a look at google trends. I would try a not so dark template... but thats my opinion.

Thanks for the help guys.
This is going to be one of hopefully many white label sites until I for now. That being said I have to resort to image sets. I haven't really found one with that porn site looking chick, This one one of the prettiest chicks i found that was in a workable pose. I was thinking of trying AEBN's tube feeder as it seems to allow the most flexibility. Lol mr gus, I bought a ton of domain names over the weekend. I got a lot of viewer names with plans on making a wl for each. On a side not, I ended up finding foreigncam, cams, webcam, and webcams .com on my journey, which i think are pretty good. in total i purchased like 40 tlds lmao. Your right that I should have checked google trends but I have been so excited about this all that i got some serious tunnel vision. Still gonna try though! XD I'll play with other colors but black is my fav lol. I know i should tailor for the user, guess i should visit some more porn sites and see what they are using. Thanks again for the very useful help I seriously appreciate it. |

If anyone could could possibly check this working version, I would be grateful.
I'm using AEBN's tubes and feeds. I have heard things about ppl using blog feeds in recent posts and I don't know if what I have done is bad or not. I also used a jump menu to get around, not sure if this a good idea, or if i should just put some static links. Any criticism would be wonderful, I'm really into this project and want my sites to look and work well. The test site is on vodviewer,com/default,php you need to add the default as I made an under construction splash while i get this done. Thanks, Jason |

I guess you are working on it right now, page didnt display ;)
Perhaps you should make a development environment, so you can work on your page while having a working version online. |

Hello,
Thanks for trying to check it for me, did you replace the commas with periods? I just went there and it was up for me. I don't have enough posts on here yet to link anything. Right now I have the default page going to an under construction page. Hoping to get some opinions on this and to be honest I need to figure out what to write for the U.S.C. 2257 statement. |

Yes i had, i do see a page now.... under construction.
The banner at the bottom is aligned center. Its kinda out of of sync with the rest of the page; the other divs are aligned to the left. I did notice a <center> in your html. Personally, i like websites to be aligned to the center instead of being aligned to the left. You could make the body 100% width and height and then have a master page div width a fixed width & height, aligned to the middle of the body. The browser will then display your site in the middle, unless the users resolution is smaller than your master div size. Goodluck with the site! |

Thanks for your info! I tend to stay away from left aligned sites but I wasn't sure how it would work with the logo. I centered everything and I think it looks good. I may play with the positioning of the logo but I think you were spot on. Thanks for your advice.

Thanks you for your input, I really appreciate it.
Yeah the girl had the best poses to work with from the sets I saw. People like big tits though so I may buy some more sets and put a diff person for each category. There are 3 background images in there so shes pretty easy to swap out. Also, if someone goes there for gay porn, the chick doesn't really cater to them. I was thinking of keeping the layout similar, with maybe different colors and character images for most of my other "viewer" sites. I don't know if I should stick to one template for brand consistency or try to make a diff look for each site. |

Hey there, thanks for your feedback.
Sounds interesting, where do you think that would look good? On the Logo? |
