Newbie introducing himself | 2 questions
Hi everybody, my name is Jay and I'm new to both this forum and the internet marketing field. I started learning web design and SEO a couple months ago, and am currently working on improving and promoting my first adult site and building my second.
I have about a million questions, but I'm going to save most of them until I've done a little more research. I do have two questions I want to throw out there: 1) Can anyone recommend a good book or other comprehensive/current/reliable resource on adult SEO? While there is much to be learned in forums, and I've found some good info in the educational threads and many other posts here, my knowledge at this point is limited and I appreciate the detailed explanations I've found in several books about general SEO. Something like this but specific to adult sites would be great. 2) If anyone's feeling generous with their knowledge, I'd appreciate any general guidance about how someone new to this business should be focusing his time. While I've learned a lot, I don't have much in the way of tangible results to show for all my work. I guess I'm feeling a little lost. I'm grateful for any kind of help. Thank you for the opportunity to participate here at gfy - I look forward to future correspondence with many of you as I gain more experience in this field. Best regards, Jay |

Your first adult site is the one in signature?
Then first tip: start using some sort of free CMS for building websites. Will save you a lot of time. Wordpress.org is the best one for me. |

If you want 5 completely contradictory answers, ask 5 SEO experts the same question.

Thank you everyone, I'm happy to be here and appreciate your replies.

That's something I've picked up on. It's one reason I like actual SEO books...they tend to be a little more evidence-based and contain consensus views. On the down side, you probably don't get the kind of cutting-edge insights you can find online. |

For blogging directions and ideas, as well as a type of outline, you can read and take what you want from my past advice given here:
https://gfy.com/showthread.php?p=18184259 It has helped many others so far.

Thanks!
Thanks for your reply, Adraco (and everyone else too). I actually came across that thread during my initial digging around the forum and found a couple good tips. I think I'll go back and take a closer look.
Sorry for this very belated response. I haven't been online here in awhile due to working nonstop...both on my sites as well as unrelated projects which have a better chance of alleviating my current acute financial difficulty. As soon as I can take care of this I look forward to spending more time reading and participating on here. Thanks again everyone, I really appreciate the help. |

Welcome to GFY. Yup I really recommend reading through all the threads in the educational section of the forum. There is really a LOT of great stuff in there that you could learn if your looking for a place to start.

Welcome to GFY! I really don't know of any books relating to SEO in the adult industry, but it wouldn't surprise me if one exists somewhere. If not, someone should write one.
Best of luck to you! |

Welcome.
1) Search different search engines about SEO Tips. 2) Talk to other web masters and build more links.
