how do you find out if your ass is being kicked by google?

so i got this site, on specific keywords, i receive hits trough bing and other search engines.

when i check on them they are on the keywords i want, but i receive very little hits from google... does it take time for google to index my site as a whole, because i started it in januari, is there a penalty on the keywords? can someone maybe shed more light on it?

You can search in Google site:yourdomain.com. If you can`t find any results, your site is not in index.

May be is stupid suggestion, but check also meta robots tag. Sometimes when create new site and make lot of changes, before start i use "noindex, nofollow" attribute. Here link to Google webmaster help center about meta tags: Quote:

Without seeing the site it's impossible to know what's going on, but if you just launched in Jan then your problem could be a lack of links. When it comes to ranking in Google the site with the most quality links wins.

Grow links AND content over time. A dead site is hard to rank.

Hire someone to write blog posts. Buy spots on OK established blogs and get your stuff posted with your links+anchor in them. Natural looking linking. |
