Does anybody fucking use Joomla?
Hi.
Does anybody use Joomla for their site? I do. Maybe I shouldn't. But I do. My stuff has been very low volume for a while but I am in the process of re-designing things and getting away from Zombaio so I want to improve the user experience at the same time. I'm having a bitch of a time securing my content. I can integrate my billing providers without any issue but once the user is logged in I want them to simply click a link and get their content. Help me for fuck sake. |

Thanks dude.
I've made a lot of progress on this in the past couple days actually and I think I've got a solution that will work. |

I use Joomla for mainstream sites. Great range of functionality, very flexible front-end design and a very teach-able back end to clients who truly want to manage content themselves.

used e107 back in the days, then switched to Wordpress..never even thought about using joomla.. people say joomla is good, but dunno... I guess you have to make your own choice on this topic.. I however develop my own platforms now.. minimal background processes, fast loading times and I have full control of everything, anytime... coded my own paysite script, my own tube site script, my own tgp and mgp scripts and so on, all from scratch... that's the only way I could make myself learn more about how things work

Hi,
Sorry im joining this late but i use joomla to run adult sites with CCBill and Epoch. I had a lot of issues with security at the start for members content and decided to create 2 sites. One for the free site and one in the members area protected by htaccess. I got things working but im not sure its best approach. Let me know how you got on and ask me anything. Good luck, Mike |

This has caught my attention. I am not very good at building sites but WordPress is what I've spent my time learning. I am and have been really happy with it and in reality have had very few major issues...With that said my biggest issue has by far been trying to get it to perform as a pay site...Seems the plugins they make to control the abilities (permissions) of the users are very cheap and unprofessional looking or don't perform correctly (buggy).
And on the other front, Do you guys pay the $500 for each of the major card companies when you decide to use CCbill for your sites? The price of that has always scared me off..

My first site build was with Joomla. Besides the constant patching for security holes it was great to work with because of all the functionality the community brings.
Drupal is a security nightmare. I used to work with it when I worked on the NERMS system for the navy, and it was always a pain in the ass. On top of that it doesn't offer much in terms of community built functionality or design. Unless you want your site looking like it's from 2001 |

I've never used it before. I know that AdultSeoPartners.com and AdultSeoTraining.com are Joomla based.
