I'm fairly new to this industry. I've got a soft porn/fetish/blog style site getting 600 uv and 15,000 page views. It's generating $45/month.

Is this about right, or do I not know what the fuck I'm doing with how to monetize a site?

It's not that bad, I have a blog in similar niche, I only sell paysite memberships on that one. I could make more by placing more ads (juicyads etc.), but I don't want to make my site look like shitty banner farm that no one will bookmark, I rather focus on getting more traffic.

I'm promoting a paysite also but my signup to uv ratio is a disappointing 1:392 so far. I read somewhere that 1:100 is closer to the average. Has that been your experience with your site?

1:100 maybe 10 years ago and even that time it was very nice. 1:392 is great ratio (in adult biz) currently.

It's average, but don't worry about getting max. $ for your traffic since it will make you crazy.

Try to gain more traffic in the first place
