Best Plan Moving Forward (Looking At Full Site Redo After Some Time Off)

Hey everyone,

We've been extremely busy over the past few years getting a few other projects off and running, and we finally have some time to devote to adult again.

So basically I'm considering ourselves new webmasters in 2015 standards.

Our site is Barelist:
Barelist - Porn Star Resource with Pictures, Videos, Interviews and Articles

At our peak we had about 120,000 uniques a day and are now down to around 80,000 uniques. We still keep content updated each weekday, but not as much as we used to by far.

Major issues with the site are:
- Non-Responsive
- Too much emphasis on images
- Videos are just links to program FHGs, not streaming
- No advertising

The site still generates an OK amount of revenue each month, but I feel a lot needs to change.

Cams are now a big % of revenue we get in each month, and we hardly promote it. Obviously we need to push them harder with the new design/redo.

Also we've always shrugged away advertising to keep a "clean" site, but we're open to it now... just don't want pop up/unders.

We also see literally every week an email from another affiliate program that went under and says they're closing shop. Just feel like counting solely on affiliate sales for revenue is a mistake.

I would just love to hear what everyone thinks about the direction we should take the site and what other revenue streams we should explore in 2015.

Thanks a ton guys!

Hi,

Im a webmaster and I use Joomla to create sites.
Its worth considering but depends what and who you know.
The sites i create are fully responsive and modular.
Joomla is free and they are lots of joomla support, have a look at the extensions website.

I had a look at your site and its holding up pretty good.
Nice clean design.
BTW i run some UK Glamour sites with some big name babes from TV, i'll contact you about getting an interview on your site. I know that Mikaela Witt, Chandy Charms and Lynda Leigh would be interested. All hotties. Also get you galleries etc. Always looking for more traffic.

Hit me up with any questions, i dont get on here as often as i should.
email me for a quicker response: contact at babeshowwebsites dot com

Thanks guys

I still like the site's design and our responsive layout will keep that look for desktop, while changing up for mobile.

i.e. Here are our gallery pages, which are responsive already:
Anna Bell Peaks screws a customer at the pharmacy (Brazzers - 16 Pictures)

As you can see, the look of the site stays the same on desktop, but changes up to suit mobile as well. The rest of the site will follow this.

Getting video on the site is a huge priority as well.

Trying to see what has changed in terms of the industry over the past few years.

We have a large twitter account, so we have some social media covered.

Seems like the affiliate model is dead / changing... so what's the alternative?

Advertising, cams, etc...?

Thanks

Hey man, the average quality per click nowdays is wayyyyyyyy worse and will always decline.
The only things with future imo are dating/cams, VERY hard to convert them, but at least they have future

The old school, join membership is still going to happen or a long long time, but will always decline as users getting smarter about how to get everything for free. I can go to Barelist and any set of pics or vids I can find online for free sad sad sad yes.

Anyways, i've been trying, and it's painful the results, but forcing ways to get more cams adverts up, i suggest that for you Barelist

btw i've sent you icqs years back, wassup doooood!

Hey man what's up!

Yeah I don't even have ICQ installed lol...

Some of the cam sites have APIs that I can work with. Maybe figure out something interesting to do past a white label.

Does seem like dating/cams aren't really going anywhere and the live / real content stops it from becoming free.

Thanks for the tips
