search engine unable to index blogger adult content
I've setup my first adult blog (mostly testing) on blogger and noticed something weird.
When you have adult content in blogger, you mark it as such and blogger adds a content warning page to new visitors. All good... I'm ok with that. But when I've tried browsing the blog with Lynx (which is a text browser useful to look at sites from a search engine point of view - at least that's what I'm using it for) I've noticed that the link you have to click to access site content ("I understand and I wish to continue") is not seen as link and thus it cannot be accessed... so the content behind it can not be indexed. I've seen the other days google group discussions on this but can't remember where. All the above info for those of you who weren't aware of this. So I've decided to not mark the content as Adult and break the TOS. Any of you guys done that and had something bad happen to his blog? Like deleted... They say that they don't monitor blog contents... but react to complaints. Wondering what that reaction would be. I don't wanna work for nothing you know... Thanks |

I'll be using my own domains for sure... but I'm thinking having 50 indexed blogs for free linking to those domains would have bee nice. I've looked at adult blog suppliers but failed to find one that fits my sensitive eye
Anyway... the main purpose of the thread was to share the info with the ones that didn't knew about the issue. |

Most people lately have been against blogger for links. They dont like some of the things that they are doing.
Do keep in mind that google has other ways that following just that link to see your site. So I would not worry about that as much. But for real SEO work the last thing you want to do, is on someone elses server like that. If you need a place to put a blog and do seo work on it, I might have an offer you can not refuse. ICQ me 174228679 and we can chat about it.

I'd definitely hit up pornguy (above) as you're already violating blogger TOS:

Oups... I think I've missed that "driving traffic" phrase. Figured I'm not asking for money from my visitors.. so I'm no breaking tos.... but you're right...
At the end of the day... I think I'll host my own... Thanks guys for your help |

Get off Blogger... I helped a $750MM a year company with SEO... They had hired a PR company to blog everyday for 2 years for them. None of the content could be found in Google. WordPress has a good modules pack for SEO. A number of Hosts (Such as BlueHost) have very easy 1 click installs. I'm sure there are others... You can figure it out.
