I've recently come across a few sites where not only are the thumbs hot linked, but entire galleries from a ton of different programs are hotlinked to that sites html pages as well. I've even seen hotlinked images being used in rotating banners etc... So the question is:

Do you allow affiliates to hot link images from your hosted galleries?
If so, how much and under what circumstances?

Some sponsors do and some dont, it depends on the individual program your dealing with..

Most will let you hot link and use their ads etc.. etc... as long as your using it to promote them / the program the ad is associated with. ( money talks too ) signups can bring acceptions to the rules for those that would not normally allow it.

What I would do If I were you is simply this..

Have FHG's
LEt them Hot link regular size banners etc, and if sames are coming in, then let them hot link odd size banners as well.

Be careful with who you allow to hot link what.

Depends.....

We have a gallery tool that creates pages like this Papas Free Porn that can be used in hundreds of ways - these pics are all hotlinked and link to our hosted galleries.

I prefer that affiliates don't hotlink banners or pics for their own galleries cuz I might just get a hair up my ass and move the pics ;-)
