when designing a directory, which is best?
it seems like the decision to have a gay page on your directory as well as a straight page or to just have a directory and then have "gay" as a category. If you you have an opinion please let me know why you feel this way. also if sometimes it is better and sometimes it is not, please let me know specific situations and why you came to that conclusion.
sorry, i don't know why that bothers me so much but it seems a decision like that is aa possible make or break |

this is a really good question. on one hand if you're marketing towards the redneck middle american who you know buys straight porn, having a gay link or page might distract them or turn them off if you're not pumping out hard core straight stuff.
on the other hand, the gay market tends to get left out in the dark alot because of the same thinking. i think there's a real market there thats still virtually untapped. |

I used to try to keep them completely seperate but after putting them all on the same page I get a lot more gay traffic and don't seem to have lost any straight surfers.
And some of those rednecks just might be a little curious... ![]() |
