That simple logic right there is why America has such a huge problem. "i'll match your gun with my gun" To coin a phrase, 2 wrongs don't make a right... :2 cents: |
And to add to that, if that's the case, why is America's crime rate so high ??
Seems it doesn't put off that many people after all... |

See there is this little thing called statistics, also a nagging little thing called FACT. You must know that during a home invasion robbery you are FAR FAR more likely to be killed by your own gun, or shot in response to you reaching for a gun, or killed AFTER you have shot the intruder, this is not my opinion, this is hard cold FACT. You are a fucking SUCKER to NRA propaganda man. And you probably watch too many action flicks where people drop to the ground after being shot. In the real world it can take many direct hits from bullets and several minutes to make an aggressor go to the floor - in the mean time they are driving a knife into your chest, taking your own gun from you, or strangling you.. What fantasy world do you live in where you think an intruder is going to break glass or make enough noise to wake you up? Get real dude...don't you realize that robbers plan their attacks and use almost never give victims a chance to reach for a weapon - and if you do reach for a weapon BAM you're dead man. One of my best friends was killed because he went for a gun during a fight, it wasn't even that serious of an altercation, had he not owned a gun he would be alive today. For every story of someone driving away an intruder with a gun there are dozens if not HUNDREDS of accounts of people being shot with their own guns, or shooting themselves accidentally, or shooting their kids or wife, or a friend by mistake...and of course the worst - kids shooting kids. You live in a fantasy world fueled by millions of dollars of lobbying money by the ultra Pro-Murder organization called the NRA and Hollywood action flicks. You are a stooge, a patsy. Your ideas are bought and paid for by corporate hacks and cooked up in boardrooms and spoon fed to you like a crack whore, and you bought it hook line and sinker. There is only ONE good use for your silly arsenal and (hopefully) only ONE person your bitchin macho man murder kit will ever kill and that is YOU... So dip the tip of the barrel in peanut butter, it will taste better, and get it over with already. |

Again you failed to answer my one question ...so ill ask again : QUESTION:what would you do in the middle of the nite if you heard a window break and someone enter your house? call 911 and hope for the best? hope your not bringing a lousviille slugger to a gun fight? Yell "get out of my house ive call the police".. see if you can give me a simple straight foward answer that doesnt involve a 1000 word uni-bomber like response :helpme |

What round? is it a .223 ? Looks amazing |

HAHAHA - You are the first guy to react to me and make me laugh, I like you dude. Yes of course the first step is calling 911 then I would attack the intruder if possible, or not attack and try to reason out the situaltion... and possibly go for one of my weapons or try to take the weapon he may be carrying. The point is that I would react to the situation with logic and try to keep myself and family from harm - in the vast majority of cases - going for a gun is going to get you killed. Actually it has happened to me, I have been in an invasion scenario and I went for a gun - it almost got me killed...Going for that gun was one of the dumbest things I have ever done... I'm not going to elaborate on an ugly memory for anyones benefit so don't ask. The point is your scenario is the vast exception to the rule - attackers are on offense, they have stealth and planning on their side. They are expecting you to go for a weapon - it will likely NEVER happen that they will give you a chance to get your hands on a weapon. It's fantasy dude - guns for personal protection is a big myth. So let me ask you this: Does it occur to you that you (or a family member) might be killed with one of your guns? Or killed because you made the choice to attempt to defend yourself with deadly force? Do you think the odds are better of you successfully defending yourself and family with guns than getting yourself or family killed because of them? I know several people who have paid the ultimate price for their gun ownership (most recently Earl Millers 18 year old son who I knew well)... RIP |

The UK is packed with illegal immigrants aswell. And yes crime etc is much worse. However, starting a gun culture here would just be a disaster, and something i hope i never see... |

While it's easy to find numerous examples of people being shot despite having a gun, it's very difficult, if not impossible, to quantify the number of people who had a gun and scared the intruder away. Furthermore, the mere perception of a person possibly being armed dissuades many would-be intruders from even trying. Ron |

yes and yes Id rather try and defend myself and family with deadly force than have somone use deadly force or toture or sexual abuse on me or my family becasue i simply gave up in hopes they wouldt harm us.Id rather die trying to stop that from happening rather than live the rest of my life knowing i didnt even try to stop it.As far as a family member getting killed due to my guns or attepmts at defending us...again i would also feel alot better going through the rest of my life knowing my family member died knowing i did my best to defend them.If they died due to my lack of gun saftey or proper care/storage then that would be on me and i would have to deal with knowing there death was due to my negligence..but not my choice to actually own a firearm. its only fair i ask you the same question but in reverse. Does it occur to you that your famiy or you could die get raped or injured because "Dad said it was better for us to just give in to a robber or intruder than try and defend ourselves"..Would you be able to live with yourself knowing you and your family calmly dropped your pants, leaned over the bed and just took it in the ass because YOU deciced its better than risking getting hurt or killed trying to defend yourself and them?...gimme an answer like i did for you:helpme |

Oh I have weapons and I would attack an intruder if I had the opportunity, and get his gun or weapon from him and use it on him if possible - so the way you posed your question has no basis in logic. And your answers YES to my questions are just as silly as if I had asked you "If you played red all night on roulette would you come out ahead?" The facts and stats prove you very wrong. I have been in violent altercations that you may have only seen the likes of in movies, and I was formerly a gun owner. I don't expect you to believe my side of this argument but you will remember me the moment you feel the pain of a bullet hole for your hubris. |
PS - Go Dinar! :)

I had one, gave it away as a Birthday Present. The novelty of having 20 rounds, and paying .50 cents per round for a gun that was a bitch to sight weren't enough to keep it. |

I told you I know several people that have paid the ultimate price for owning firearms, including a good friends 18 year old son less than a year ago. Thats not enough reason to feel passionate about the issue? Like I say you will remember me the day a nice bullet enters your body or one of your kids - until then good luck to you and as for the Dinar..let's keep our fingers crossed it's lookin real good. |

My BOB is my last line of defense when SHTF. Normally I carry a HK USP .40, or a 1911A1. Depending on the situation. So I do feel where you are coming from. |

I grew up on a farm, surrounded by guns and shooters and hunters, lots of shooting for pleasure and hunting, gun handling classes, all that stuff. Started shooting at 8, first deer at 12.
took shooting classes in college as PE, lol. I own about 15 guns. unlike some of my friends I don't carry or keep in the car. (or truck when I drive trucks) last year I found a buck thrashing by the road, and regretted not having a gun to put him down - so I am considering getting a 22 for the trunk of the car. a couple of years ago I was in a similar situation - young deer hit by a car, hips crushed and thrashing, and was able to get home, get a rifle, and help him. personally I think all men should master gun handling. |
