I spoke to my lady friend in Egypt finally.

She managed to get on the Internet.

She is in Alexandria, Egypt.

She told me there are riots all over the country and that there are more than the 300 dead being reported.

She told of her hopes that a secular government takes over and further made no reference to a "Islamic Fundamentalist Uprising."(She is Muslim, rather well off and educated, BTW.) I told her of the other Arab countries experiencing revolts and she said that she knew so they are getting the news in.

So, that's what's happening there right now.
