And how did the Koch bros make their money?... GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS!

You know, keep the government out of our business, right?

And who do they petition to get eminent domain rights to lay their natural gas lines?... Right again! The horrible dreaded fucking government!

Just wake up America! The corporations and bankers are taking all of your fucking money! They are polluting your water and air - they are shipping out your jobs - they are killing your American Dream!

WAKE THE FUCK UP!

When the rich steal your money, and the lower and middle classes get shut out, THEN you get revolution!

This is not a dig at ANY of the people on this board, because even if you THINK you are rich, you are nowhere NEAR rich enough to effect the geo-political shift in the world's economy's.

You guys think I am anti-capitalism, but I am not - I am however, pro-fairness, and anti-corruption.

This thread was never intended to be about peoples views relative to each group,(or the situation in Wisconson), but to contrast coverage of EXACTLY THE SAME ACTIVITY on both sides, and how it has been TOTALLY ignored by the mainstream media.... If you don't think that is a bad thing, then you are simply a political hack IMHO.

Even the Wall Street Journal (certainly not a right wing publication), has picked up on this:

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703775704576162502077564930.html?m od=WSJ_Opinion_RIGHTBelowPepperandSalt#articleTabs %3Darticle

.

That article, points out exactly what I'm talking about.... this isn't left, right, dem's or rep's, some unions donate right others left, the people go all directions, practice various faiths, they aren't 'one sided on political opinion.'

From the article: "the liberal demonstrations in Wisconsin"

This isn't a liberal demonstration at any point, level, ideal, factor of anything. These people, are losing what they have, right now, they are left they are right, they are everything in between. So as we bicker over this, they actually lost something that generations of families, Americans, have fought for.

Without question, the state has a budget issue.... and cutting corporate taxes the way he did, increased the project shortfall. He did not tackle the actual issues, at any point, factor or degree. Forcing people to cover more of the pension with our tax dollars, is not a fix. Cutting people's wages, doesn't solve the future problem. Other States without Collective Bargaining do not do as well in School/education and in some cases Protection and the those States have budget issues as well - so it's not a factor other than corporate interest.

The State can solve the issue by restructuring how the system works, for everyone new coming in. Then they should lead by example, and give up the same thing they're asking the people to give up. All Fed/State workers should take a pay cut - all of them! Then start paying more of the pension/401k's, ect themselves, and all be willing to give up medical benefits and all without question give up the huge percentage of life long earnings they get to keep....

If they're so willing to do it to the people, then they should be willing to give up an equal cut. But that isn't happening.

The media, while you guys love to paint them left/liberal, is so far from that it's not even funny. From the left perspective, every news source is very right, and fox is the leader. MSNBC is't liberal, to liberals.... they just try to put a slant on it, and have no idea wtf liberals want/are/think.

That being said... the wsj, fox, msbnc, or anyone not covering what is actually going on, what is actually being said (like in the punked audio), and even the idea that they focus on the stupid political signs... This is the proof you need to see the truth, they're all on the same side, they aren't even left or right, shit the owner of Fox isn't even American.

Their is so much information about what's really going on here - truly, get away from any media and listen to them, read the bill, read the bill.... read it. This is the ultimate take over and Wisconsin is ground zero!

Stop trying to twist this left/right - it's not... Bring your tea party buddies, the fight is on, NOW!

When corporations are allowed to fund political campaigns, with virtual anonymity, no rules, and no ceilings, then THE PEOPLE NO LONGER RUN THE FUCKING GOVERNMENT!

Who doesn't understand this?!

It used to be, a politician would give a shit what the regular people wanted. Now however, your $25 donation to someone's campaign means NOTHING!

The politicians get MILLIONS from corporate donors now, even if they AREN'T EVEN FROM OUR COUNTRY!

You think your tiny little $25 means ANYTHING to them now?!

If things do not change soon, America is doomed!

Do you like selling smut on the open and free internet? Corporate lobbyists are doing everything they can do right now, to KILL Net Neutrality... and they are winning!

The largest corporations are all multi-nationals now.

They play an international shell game, and they don't pay nearly the taxes they owe... if any at all!

Besides, you're a brainwashed ass. Just face it. Look into the mirror, and be honest with yourself.

Just be honest with yourself, and repeat after me... "I am 12 Dicks, and I am an ass. I think I am rich, but I am a peon. I am nobody."

and repeat...

Corporations are a privilege, allowed under corporate law - period! They are not a right - they can be taken away from you. Under Corporate statutes, they are allowed to own property, sign contracts, and.. and... PAY TAXES!

They are the ones that should be paying the peoples cut of the taxes, because that is what they were created for. It's actually illegal to tax the people, it's just forced on us.

Straight up, your reply is pathetic, I mean come on, is this what is really going on in your twisted mind, are you really this uneducated about this stuff or are you just trolling to troll?

It's not funny to laugh at your lack of education.

Before this Country was even founded, Corporations had already moved in and taxes being collected. Shortly after the Country was formed, Corporations and the Fed (internally) dealing with distilled spirits, carriages, refined sugar, tobacco and snuff, property sold at auction, corporate bonds, and slaves - where taxed internally, within the structure of those goods.

Then it moved back to taxing only imports/export of good, ie teriffs. Then during peace time, they tried to add an income tax to people, which was shot down.

Then in 1909, Congress setup the first 'Corporate' income tax, which was legal in way of an excise tax and a constitutional amendment to allow the previously enacted income tax (yep, had it before too). Corps were already getting taxed, this moved it to an income tax.

And bam, we have the base structure of the tax system we use today - which is, without question, legally taxed.

So you were saying? Oh, yeah "hen leftists wanted to pretend corporations were something to be taxed" - Hahahaha, well buddy, this is all common shit you learn in about 3rd grade, you can look in history books, wiki, or research it allllllll over the Internet and even libraries.

Enjoy....

At the start of the call, Walker eagerly reports on all he is doing: First, he tells the fake Koch brother about a plan to change Senate rules on pay to reel-in the out-of state Democratic senators who are holding out to protect collective bargaining. The new rule would force the Senators to pick up their paychecks in person. This rule was passed in a partisan vote in the Senate yesterday -- a move that went unnoticed by the mainstream press. The fake Koch asks Walker how they might get others in Senate to vote to stop collective bargaining. Walker responds that he's involved the Justice Department in investigating whether the union is paying the absent Democratic senators to remain out of state, or providing them with food, shelter, etc., saying it would be an ethics violation or potentially a felony. Wisconsin legislators are well aware of these rules and have already stated they are using their own money while they are out of state.

But the Governor also explains how he is going to lay off thousands of Wisconsin workers as a tactic to get the Democrats to cooperate: "So, we're trying about four or five different angles. Each day we crank up a little bit more pressure. The other thing is I've got layoff notices ready, we put out the at-risk notices, we'll announce Thursday, they'll go out early next week and we'll probably get five to six thousand state workers will get at-risk notices for layoffs. We might
ratchet that up a little bit too."

The move has been called "despicable" and "ruthless " and "sickening." But most importantly, if Walker is choosing to lay off workers as a political tactic when he wasn't otherwise planning to do so, then it is not just morally repugnant, but legally questionable. State and federal contract and labor law has protections against this type of abusive behavior and inappropriate quid pro quo.

This morning the Capital Times quotes the state's former Attorney General: "There clearly are potential ethics violations, and there are potential election-law violations and there are a lot of what look to me like labor-law violations," said Peg Lautenschlager, a Democrat who served as Wisconsin's Attorney General after serving for many years as a U.S. Attorney. The head of the state teacher's association, Mary Bell, reminds us: "He literally planned to use five to six thousand hardworking Wisconsin taxpayers as political pawns in his political game. He actually thought through a strategy to lay people off -- deny them the ability to feed their families -- and use it as leverage for his political goals."
