video phones and digital cameras have been a great tool in showing how often this really happens. it was so much easier to get away with before, now any random person can start recording. here in ottawa there was an incident that wasn't even known until someone uploaded it youtube. a cop repeatedly punching a person who was just standing there in the face. there have been a number of cases against cops here recently.
Don't get me wrong I am against police brutality. BUT in a lot of cases people fuck up themself, not listening and getting their ass whooped. Good for them.

I wish the cops over here would be more like this. We are having pussies over here. Bad mouthing a cop seems to be normal over here and they don't do shit about it.

Ofcourse there has to be some balance which is hard to find.

Cops are supposed to hold themselves to a higher standard rather than lowering themselves and acting like he people they are arresting. Its not a cops job to teach little timmy listening skills. Its their job to make sure those who break the law receive justice but not at their hands.

I still dont know why the world didnt go nuts when they tased the "dont tase me bro" guy. They had 800 pounds of police flesh holding down his scrawny 150 lb ass, and then broke out the taser. Why? To torture him is the only conclusion. It's legal torture when used in such circumstances.

Maybe they should have tased the 11 year old who drew stick figures too. Might just as well. You know they could easily justify it in the law, no problemo.

That's what happens when you've got a monopoly.

The State is basically a company that offers certain services such a 'protection'. Unlike other companies that have to compete for your business (by keeping their prices low and the quality of their service high), the state simply forces you to buy their protection services through taxation.

Because you are already paying the State, the state has no incentive whatsoever to do a good job... It's not like you can end your 'contract' with them and buy protection from another company.

Result: Overpriced, low quality services provided by unqualified, improperly trained, unsuited, unmotivated cops...

That's the whole point, her punishment for not stopping for the cop should not be a taser dart embedded into her skull.

Your rape analogy can work both ways. So let's say a lady didn't use common sense and decided to wear a slutty outfit to the bar. Does the rapist get to use that as justification for raping her?

Just because she made a bad decision, it doesn't justify what ultimately happened to her. Why anyone would want to justify letting police use excessive and potentially deadly force in a situation that doesn't warrant it is beyond me.
