Damn, glad to hear everyone is all right Dave!

pornguy 03-25-2011 06:33 AM

Good to hear the kids were not hurt

Rochard 03-25-2011 06:35 AM

We out to dinner in an area that was unfamiliar to me, and on the way back I had to take an on ramp to get on the freeway to head to my house. I so rarely take this freeway, it was pouring raining and I couldn't see shit, and this big 18 wheeler was blocking my view of where I thought the on ramp was. Turns out I missed the on ramp and suddenly found myself in that no man's land between the freeway and the on ramp - no pavement, raining, at 60 mph. Then I discovered I was driving right into a concrete divider.

Scared the piss out of me.

Glad your kids are ok.

Godsmack 03-25-2011 06:35 AM

Man, glad they are ok!!

Only the thought of losing one of my children drives me mad...

Waiter 03-25-2011 06:37 AM

I'm glad that everything's ok now

when an airbag deploys and your wife is holding your child, he/she will most likely be killed. there is a reason why its illegal to have kids under a certain age/weight in the front, airbags are lethal to kids. not to mention, even if there was no airbag, the child would be severely injured from your wife crushing into him/her.

You are so right. Car seats are mandatory under 75 pounds in California. Every time my kids get put in them they are checked and double checked. Would hate to have an accident and one of my children died as a result of my child's safety seat was not correctly installed or came loose over time because i was to lazy to check it. It would be shity to live with that type of "should of, would have, could have" feeling.

For sure. You are 100% correct:thumbsup

This is a pretty horrible thing to type into this thread, but hopefully it may make her see some sense, and possibly save a life one day: with some work on google you could probably find something that may make her change her mind. :2 cents:

There's NO way you can hold onto a child in an accident... they'll hit the dash, or the airbag, and possibly fly out through the windscreen.

You need to knock some sense into your wife and point out what bad things could happen, even in a relatively minor accident. Refuse to move off if she's holding your child...

did you read what he said? sounded like people saw her fleeing the scene... no bullshit 'someone stole my ride' claim works if there are witnesses...

Glad everyone is ok...

There is absolutely no way in hell that she is strong enough to hold the child and keep it from harm if you were in any type of collision over a couple miles an hour. Even if she had the reaction time. :2 cents:

clitcartel 03-25-2011 08:58 PM

wow... I was wondering why I hadnt heard from you since you got back... But man, I'm really glad that your kids are ok. what a POS to take off running... not even knowing if you killed someone or if they might need help... that's fucked up. when they find the chick responsible hit me up and Ill redirect my full attention her... she wont be able to get a job washing dishes at BK let alone a date when Im done.... Yo capt. smash and run wont even be invited to her families Christmas dinner... not without her boss/co-workers/friends/family or any anyone in a 150 mile radius thinking that just by breathing the same air as her they might die... airborn stds... lol

well like I said though Im glad everythings ok. Family is always First.

SB_Content 03-25-2011 09:09 PM

Again Dave, glad everyone's ok.

shermo 03-25-2011 10:19 PM

WOW...Glad your family is alright Dave. :)

Hopefully the bitch that ran gets what she deserves.

And you are so right...Until your child's life is at serious risk, you'll never realize the feeling you get when their safety is out of your hands. My daughter was in NICU for a week, and it was the grimmest week of my life.

Cherish what you got, while you got it, because it could be taken away from you tomorrow.:2 cents:

Both were almost taken from me yesterday in a bad car accident that my girlfriend was in.

Both kids were taken to the hospital and are back with me today as I type this.

But could you imagine the hysterical 3 minute call i got from my girl before showed up to the scene?

Could not make out what my girl was saying what so ever and fire fighter got on the phone and said i need you to come down now to this XYZ intersection now. Then hung up.

I was like WTF?? So i went and saw all of the emergency vehicles blowing red lights past me to that location. My heart sank. Started dry heaving in my car at the red. Then i caught 2 more reds and saw the intersection from the distance with all of the emergency vehicles. Threw up my coffee and bagel before i got there.

Was praying "Please don't let me see 2 white sheets covering 2 little bodies, Please, Please, please!!". And i don't pray.

The most difficult 8 min. of my life. You cant even imagine, unless you have kids. And even then, you don't want to.:2 cents:

1) that lac truck was probably built to not absorb much of a rear end shock due to seats being so close to the rear end. imagine if there were kids in the back of it, too, and it crumpled like the chevy truck did.

2) front ends ARE indeed designed to actually fold up like an accordion to absorb the impact of a front-end collision. Thank god for that!

=============

Also, since I quoted this message, I have to say that I DO fear my fiance driving alone one day and I get a call like this. It's a terrifying THOUGHT, let alone how terrifying it would be to actually have it happen to you, so I can't imagine how you felt.

I dont have any children at the moment, and I am thankful for it after seeing my sister in law deal with her demon, but I already feel the same way about my (future) kids and showing them that they have both parents in the same house that love them and would do anything in the world for them in an instant. I didn't have any of that growing up but even though I don't have kids yet, I know how I WANT to raise them to make sure they have everything in their childhood that I didnt' have growing up.

I am so glad nothing happened to your kids or your girlfriend, man. I have no clue who you are but for some reason I do feel for ya, and even if you dont believe in heaven or hell there was definitely a guardian angel flying somewhere nearby that day!

On another note, I was in a hit and run about 5 years ago. I was driving on a main street in the city and going around a bend in the road. I'm listening to some music heading to my fiance's work to pick her up. Next thing I know my fucking truck is upside-down, sliding across the street, and all my shit on the seats and floor were now next to my head. I shut the truck off, got out, and the mother fucker who hit me fled the scene as well. Turned out this son of a bitch didnt have insurance, and ran so he didn't gt in trouble. My goddamn truck is upside down bout to fucking blow up and he just runs, not checking to see if he just got hit with vehicular manslaughter????? My woman got a call very similar to this one I was able to find my phone. I didnt want to scare her so I asked her to get the fuck out of work and come to the scene, but I was okay and needed her there. I could only imagine what went thru her head, poor girl! She had to feel so helpless because she had no way to get to me and it was 2 miles away, and she started walking to the scene from her work, and a cop picked her up for me.

So, I feel strongly about this situation and wish that this fucking cunt gets the wrath of god brought down on her!

That is illegal to do in the US. Car seats are required by law. Better let her know asap because that is a child endangerment charge/steep fines in the making.

JustDaveXxx 03-28-2011 11:09 PM

He guys thank you for all the well wishes. Family is good. My girlfriend has been really sore with a hurt neck, but my kids are great will no issues.:thumbsup
